this thread is all about discussing about the developments in BSNL 3G services.
I like to know if it is started in hyderabad.

I have a bsnl 2G number and I want to use BSNL Broadband on the laptop.

What options do I have (I don't want to lose my existing number).

Now they say that I can't migrate my existing number to 3G (at least not yet). And they say they don't have any dongle etc with which I could use their 3G sim into my laptop.

What to do?

BSNL is providing 3G PCIMA card

Though the 3G availability is publically announced, i have not got SIM card or Connectivity at any of the BSNL exchanges or BSNL Retail shops till today .



Suggestions to "how to get "or "Where to get at Chennai" is most welcome.

Its really a tuff job to find a 3G sim card.I am from hyderabad and i cant find a sim and the information i have is the normal sim can now migrate to 3g so i am going to guy a normal sim and then migrate......................but before i migrate i am going the hunt hyderabad for the sim!!!!!!!

In Bangalore, BSNL 3G data cards are now available in almost all customer care centres. By default, they might give you a EVDO data card, but insist on HSDPA data card or "latest data card". It costs Rs 2500.

After buying the data card and doing the first recharge, do a Rs 620 recharge and get 13 GB data transfer with 2 months validity. This information is available in all Customer Care centres.

Recharge is permitted online for standard values mentioned in their website.

Overall, the service is reasonable but there is lot of scope for improvement.
