BSNL gives a new IP every time you connect, and it must be keeping a record of which IP it assigns to which person at which time. So does anyone know for how long they keep these logs?

No record/s kept.
( not like telephone tapping)
Which ever website you visited, details stored in your computer.( history/cache)
Even if you delete all old entries
( Use Ccleaner from filehippo.com)
sometimes, details of some of them they can be recovered also , if not overwritten in Hard disk.
Try Recuva from filehippo.com
Hi essbebe, what I'm asking is about the IP logs that BSNL keeps. When we connect, we are assigned a new IP every time. Suppose someone complains about you, and approaches BSNL, they have a record of which IP was assigned to which person. Not like what sites you visited, but which IP the BSNL server assigned to you during a particular session. Any idea about that?
CCleaner I know, its used to clean the temporary files.
BSNL keeps records of usage for at least six months. The usage details have IP address information also. So it is safe to say the IP record is held for at least six months.
