Default How much time does it take for this ??

    Hello..
I just got the modem installed at my desk by the BSNL guys.
They said,I need to wait for 24 hrs in order to receive the username and password

How can I be sure that, the connection will be activated by 24 hrs ?
How would I know, when it got activated ?
How would I get the username and password ?
    Who will give me ?
Or do I need to ask someone just after 24 hrs?
    Who shall I ask ?

    Plz answer me..
The DATA light also dont blink up now .I think,it will blink, once the internet is active.

As per my knowledge, it depend upon the circle you are in. For instance I got my user id / pwd on phone. The guy who delivered the modem just said they used to setup if the OS is XP. My primary OS is Linux thou Vista was preloaded in the system, he was not ready to setup and went away. I called the concerned in the local exchange and gor the userid and pwd.

But my friend from kolkatta got mailer with user id and pwd.

You can call the JTO (BB) in your circle. I may be wrong but in my case I called the JTO (BB) and got the details.
