    Mention your modem/wifi router model.
    Start/Network/Wireless LAN
    repair /status
    What is the message ?

reset the network adaptor wireless network connection
The router link I had given has same settings.

    Start/Network/WirelessLAn
    properties
    TCP/IP
    properties
    select obtain IP address automatically
    Apply Save.

    Still problem
Start RUN type cmd type ipconfig /all
    post results.

Do you get the Wireless network Icon in Taskbar?
    Connected signal strength etc ?

Default wireless network adapter in laptop

Appears your OS is Vista . Confirm
( IF IPV6 appears in TCP/IP page disable it
select obtain IP address automatically )

    For XP Pro sp3 ( which I use )
    Start/All programs
    Accessories/
    communications
    Wireless network wizard.
    Follow instructions.

    @king_19
1.Appears you are using a dialer.
    2.Try "Always On" connection
    3.Enable DHCP in router.
    Give range 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.20

i can see wired network is working properly
Presume you are able to surf.
4.Your default gateway IP is different .
    10.xx.xx.xx ( did you enter this ?)
    Preferred IPV4 address etc.

    5.Ping 192.168.1.1 . Do you get response ?

    6.IN TCP/IP properties
    select obtain IP address automatically.
for BOTH ethernet card and wireless card.

Follow the settings given in Chennai link.
