Thread: Need Assistance regarding the splitters.

hi,

I am new user of BSNL BB.Recently i got a call from BSNL saying that my connection is ready. I didnt opt for a BSNL modem . I bought a Linksys wireless modem instead. When I contacted them again they are telling they will not come to the site and I have to connect the modem by myself and a spliiter will also need to be Installed.Is this the same hapened to alll users who dont opt form BSNL modem.?
will this people dont even come to test the line?

Can any one suggest the best splitter availble in the Market.
Also let me know what the defferent SNR values i should have in my modem for a stable connection.

BSNL is right. If you have not opted for their modem, they are not obligated to come and install the connection at your place - they have assumed that you can do that yourself. So they cannot charge you for installation charges also.

Splitter is a passive filter that separates voice from data. Most splitters available in India are 'no-name' brands and most of them do the job well. A splitter is worth just Rs. 40 or so.
