Thread: help with ut300r2u modem

i need to know if there is somthing wrong with my modem or with my line..when i turn my modem on the DSL light blinks only once and then turns off completely..i read in this forum that putting the modem in the "vertical" position helps but it didnt..also my phone line is working perfectly.. all this happened suddenly when i had left the modem on for about 3 days non-stop.after switching it off and on aftr abt 2hours i wasnt able to use the net..nd if it helps i have home plan 1000 and my modem is abt 1.5 years old and is always on heavy usage...

1.If on rent get it replaced from BSNL.
Also try even if purchased outright.

2. Check in Diagnostics page. "fail" component.

3. Use a small FAN for "cool down!"

4. May be power adapter has gone bad.
( the electrolytic condenser could have gone bad ).

5. Phone will work connected via ADSl splitter. Modem gets connected directly to Phone Junction in the adsl splitter.
