Thread: Internet Disconnects

Hi i am using 30 day trial of FDM on Vista Ultimate. I connect to internet manually at 2:15 AM. I saw the event logs and saw that at 6 AM connection was broken. I have configured FDM to redial and set the redial attempts to 0 and 30 second gap within redial atttempts.

Why the hell it doesnt redial when the internt connection is broken?

I also found IDM is a littlebit buggy.

Is there any good alternative or a solution to redial when internet disconnects?

If you set your redial attempt to 0 then how the computer will dial? as it is set to 0 ???? The mistake is from your side. You should set redial attempt to at least 5 to 10 and 30 second gap is ok.

Dude, 0 here means redial endlessly. Open IDM and see yourself.

Anyway, how do u guys redial if net gets disconnects during 2-8 am

Yes dude you are right. But that Endlessly means the IDM will try to reconnect to the download server endlessly but not your BSNL dial up connection. Change your redial attempt to 10 times in your BB dial up setting.

My Net disconnect many a times in the night UL period. But it connects automatically. On an average I can download 4 - 5 GB per night using auto shedular.

Thanks, I have set the connection properties to redial 20 times in interval of 2 mins. Lets hope that today i would download 4gigs . My RS Account have 10+gigs of bw reserved.
