Default How to change siemens modem c2110 to connect automatically?

Right now I have to go to network connections and double click on internet connection and then only net will be connected. How do we change it so that it gets connected as soon as I turn the modem on?

This worked fine. After following these steps, I am getting connected automatically. But it is getting disconnected quite frequently. I mean every now and then and getting connected back is not easy. Is it a temporary thing? Connection is not staying on.

    getting disconnected quite frequently
    mod SELECTED MAY BE ADSL2+
try to change it to GDMT

Need SNR/ATTN/ Line speed data along with Mod selected.

Also ensure ALL phones connected AFTER ADSL splitter.
Any parallel connection phones elsewhere use additional ADSL splitters.

The modem is Nokia siemens C 2110. So which one should be the chosen modem?

But the net is not getting connected automatically now. It was doing so for the first two days after I changed the settings. Now I have to go to Network Connections and double click Internet Connection. Once it is connected, the connection is steady now. May be the disconnection problem was temporary one from BSNL's part.

Do I need to go ahead and follow the configuration steps once more?

Where do I change ADSL2+ to GDMT?

What are SNR/ATTN/ Line speed data?

There is only one phone connection and that is given through the splitter only.

    Please search in Advanced options.

I went through the procedure once more and it is working for now. Last time also it worked for 2 days and then stopped getting connected automatically.

The IP Address, subnet mask, default gateway etc suggested from #2 of C2110 (Type-A) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION
is not working. I had to change it to choose automatically and then only I can access net. This was the case last time too.

You said to uncheck bridged. but there is only two options in C2110 (Type-A) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION #14 bridged and routed. There is no option to uncheck bridged.

    Thanks

MY sincere apologies. and I will try to
    avoid this mistake in future.

    Para two:
(a)Please appreciate , that members do not
have data on all modems/routers, and the

job will be easier, if you post the screen shot
    of concerned page.

    (b) I have to do a Google /Yahoo
search, scan the Archives in this forum, and
others, and try to access/see/obtain the settings page of any Modem or router.

    (c)OPTION
post ONLY comments/suggestions on the modem/router/s, I actually use.
    Your advice needed.
other members may also add their comments.

    Para three:

Please see post by @subra post no 4 and 5.
Kindly give the link for the settings page.
under discussion. 1 to 10 jpg links.
    2.
Either you can select "Bridged" ( meaning you use a Dialer. Some use the term PPPoE connection.
    3
or "Always ON" mode where your USERID and PW are stored in the modem.

    Para four:
This link explains "always on" settings .
    Has other useful info also.

My second attempt lasted for 2 days too. And the net was getting connected automatically for two days. But on the third day, nothing is getting connected. Only the power light is turning on. when I turn the modem on all lights blink once and then go off. Then only the power light stays on and the rest of the three lights are not coming on at all. No blinking either.

Sorry essebee, I am not at all technical and do not understand many of the technical things you suggested me to do. Sorry if i offended you in any of my posts.

Problem NOW: modem not working C2110.
    @suvi
sorry to hear your modem is not working.
Can you access the Modem pages by typing 192.168.1.1 now ? If not

step 1 .There is a reset switch at the bottom of the modem.
look for a small round hole near the righ side leg.

Use a ballpen refill and press the contact for about 20 or 30
minutes. Modem settings will be default factory settings.

2.Then try in dialer mode. If not connected,
3.Repeat the settings as given in post/s here.

4.One suggestion : you can add OPENDNS in the modem page.
    208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222.

    5.Also in TCP/IP properties.
    Start/Network/ Properties/
TCP/IP properties. see what is entered.
    Ip address 192.168.1.X
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    default gateway 192.168.1.1 ( modem/router's)
Then select Obtain IP address automatically.
    apply save.
    please give feedback.
Any chance of replacement from bsnl ?
