Default BSNL says Type III and Type IV Modem aren't Available. Which Router shd i purchase?

Hello all,

I am right now in Tokyo. WIll head back to hyderabad soon.

My Father yesterday went to BSNL Office. They told that TYPE III and TYPE IV Modems aren't available.

I needed Type IV Modem. Alternatively i Can purchase from the markeT

Can any body suggest a modem/router company name with Model Number.

The Modem/Router needs to have :

- 2-4 Ethernet ports.
- Wireless Capability.

Do let me know.

BTW i am going for UL 1350 Plan. Is there any other UL Plan that is more than 512 kbps?

Rs. 3,400/- is a good price for the Linksys WAG54G2. Last month when I enquired around lamington Road, it was going for 3,500/-. You can also check out the other models as below:

Netgear DG834G - Rs. 3,000/- (This is the one I'm using right now and it rocks completely!)

Pronet - 2,600/-

Dlink 2640T - 3,500/-

@FUNNYCOOL

As far as i know HOME UL plans are restricted to 256Kbps and 512Kbps..(CHEAPER PLANS).. U CAN EXPECT HIGHER SPEEDS IN BUSINESS PLANS.. BUT I DON'T KNOW WHETHER A HOME USER CAN OPT BUSINESS PLAN... ADDED IT'S QUITE COSTLIER...

FOR DETAIL FOLLOW THE LINK :
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.

HOPE THIS MAY BE USEFUL
