Welcome to the forum buddy ! Glad to know that you are from RT Nagar ! Am from Sanjaynagar !

Would like to suggest two things Quickly !

1) Don't use full caps when posting,its the internet way of shouting (which I hope you are not)
2) Since you are not a BSNL Subscriber (atleast not yet ) it would be better if you can post in the appropriate section ! as this is BSNL Broadband section !

Now coming to the suggestions part,

I can suggest without a doubt Airtel,as theirs is the best service available in the city with their 4 hour service warrenty (or else 100Rs created to your account ) !! But please be aware of their new Fair Usage Policy for unlimited plans (if you wish to go for it ) !!.

Next comes the ACT (Atria Convergence Technologies) which offers Broadband connections at affordable rates !! its also a good idea to go for their service as the main office and Head-End (Default server Location) is very very near to RT Nagar,I think the area is called Manorayanapalya ( Near Pushpanjali Theater ) ! so in case of problems it'll rectified immediately !!

You can also look into TATA's Wimax as so far the service is good (couple of folks I know are using without much problem),but will be bit expensive compared to others (the Wimax Equipment)

Coming to BSNL,its the most dreaded service of all the services available in this country ! its like, if it runs it runs better then all ! if it conks then its your doom ! folks at BSNL are hardly helpful (as most of them know nothing bout the technology ) !

I have been using their service ever its inception way back in 2005 ! so Trust me"Been There Done That",so I know !

So choose wisely ! should you choose BSNL (for whatever reasons) please make sure you get the NIB 1 line (Ip Starts 59 series ) the NIB 2 (Ip 117 Series) is their worst of the worst with heavy disconnections and constant problems ! it also pays to make good friends of linemen and Broadband Technician of BSNL for smooth solving of the issues !

I'm new to Bangalore too... But my brother is residing here since couple of yrs... And he also says that Airtel's service is best here...
