    do not use START>RUN
open windows explorer (just double click My Computer)
in the address bar, in place of Drive/Folder, give the "\\machine IP"

in addition you also need to enable "share" the required folders on both the machines

sanmalkani please dont break your head like this... i just recommend a software Teamviewer you can download it here TeamViewer - Free Remote Access and Remote Desktop Sharing over the Internet its a free version software just download that it is around 2 MB install that on both systems then it will connect to its server and give you a ID & password just use that and connect. you can take care of whole system there or just file transfer & it even supports chat and works from behind fire wall also....
Instructions a give there itself clearly how it works...

This means u need to access some files from the remote computer just like local files, if so try to map the drive (after enabling share) and specify the the same in your default path. (NOTE : May be your requirement is different based on assumption I am posting this reply)
