    Default Problems observerd with bsnl broadband

    HI,
    I applied for a connection in May 2008,I got a new connection on 28th of Feb 2009,One Fellow came with UTR300r2u modem he tried installing it on my win2k but he failed because he was not aware how to install the same with win2k. He told me some patch is required to be installed ( I guess he was talking about pppoe protocol and dialer).He was insisting on bridge mode connection only because pppoe (LAN) mode is giving problem so I must set my for bridge mode only. he gave me my username and password and told me he will back next day. (till the date he never turned up).
    I configured the lan mode very same day and was working fine. on 16th of march I changed my password and problems started.
    1)Modem was not accepting my changed ppp password.
    2)Resetting back to login: multiply insted of my username
    3)DNS Problem
    I tried saving to factory default and reconfiguring again. It worked for one day. Due to dns problem I have to restart modem again and again. so I configured bridge mode with pppoe dialer downloaded from link suggested by one of the member of the forum its working but disconnects frequently (every 2 hours). I am not happy with service of BSNL.

    one problem is TR-069 client which changes my username and settings.(lan mode)
    THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS BSNL.

    cant really understand wat u mean.

    do one thing. reset ur odem. then go to http://192.168.1.1/ and click advanced setup

    press the edit button of the first option, (service name pppoe_0_35_1) click next and select connection type PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE), click next and enter ur username and password there. click next>next>save. after that click save/reboot and wait for some time, u r modem will restart twice and after that just turn off ur modem and turn on again and go to settings and check if the username and pass is correct. if not do the same process again and do w8 for the modem to restart twice after saving the settings. u wil b able to connect without any probs now

    one problem is TR-069 client ....
    disable clientTR-069 Not used by bSNL.

    disconnects frequently.....
    2.check statistics/ adsl data

    3. Uncheck adsl2+ here ( keep GDMT/Glite/T413 Bitswap enabled) add adsl2 if no connection.

    Save Reboot.

    Re check statistics.
    Line speed would have reduced but may result in a more stable connection.

    SNR .>10db D/L higher the better.
    Attn < 30 db D/L lower the better.

    Try "always On" mode now. In wan page enter userId
    without 2 bsnl.in.

    Hats off to BSNL guys....

    Am i the only one getting this kind of service or everybody else is also getting the same...?

    1 week back my line was cut (physically cut) got it repaired in 1 hr 30 min.... detail is here....

    yesterday night my ADSL link was fluctuating very much almost every 5 min it would disconnect, i complained at night itself... they said in the morning it will be fixed. Morning at 10:30 i got call from BSNL asked the details of the problem then line man came home checked the line tried to fix it but still there was very much disturbance in the line, then he said will be back after 1 hr and he went after 1 hr he promptly came with 700 mts 5 pair cable and changed the whole line ..... and now its 1:15 PM my line is working great...!

    I now understand how lazy they were, now one they made up the mind to give good service its absolutely awesome...

    HATS OFF TO BSNL...

    Hello CP1978,

    even my user name is often getting changed to multiply, did you find any work around for this..

    no, its BSNL provided device (adsl modem + switch + wireless), not USB device..

    4. No of computers/desktop laptop used.


    Please provide the details.

    model of modem is - DNA-A211-I

    no separate swithc nor wireless hub all in bult in that ADSL modem it self, it doesnt have any USB.

    see this web site and check your settings.
    set up pages may appear same.
    After Save reboot in WAN PAGE
    go to Maintenence and click SAVE reboot .
    wait for two minutes.
    The little I know about Dataone Broadband Services offered by BSNL

    Para two :
    If there is a menu item client tr_069 disable it.
    Save Reboot.
