Smile BSNL charged me very high on unlimited plan

Hello everyone. I have visited these forums since a long time ago but I never needed to post or become a member.

I am now posting to ask about stupid BSNL and their stupid unlimited plan.

Last year, my bsnl bill was Rs.8700+. Then, we were using 250 home plan with 1 GB limit. So broadband was cut till november. We applied for unlimited plan change. I am talking about the 750 unlimited plan. So, now I hsould have unlimited uploading and downloading without any charge. So, I used it for tow months and now a bill came and it says 8250.

The bill is entirely for broadband. It says like this

    BROADBAND- S-250
    FIXED CHARGE TO 28/02/2009 = 250.00
    BROADBAND USAGE-200902

That is apart of the broadband bill.

Is this possible? Isnt this there mistake? Or is this real? I am on 750 plan. It was changed they said too when we got it in november.

It billed into 250 home plan now. I dont know how or why:angry:

    Thank you

yes that clearly shows that you are still in 250 plan. If you have any receipt or any document in which you have applied for the 750 plan and they have accepted it, then you can got the accounts officer of your concerned BSNL office and show him the receipt he will surely help you out...!

    Default The best way

The first thing you need to do- check your bill. In your bill, there will be details of authorities in charge of complaints.Mainly chief account officer and another one. Give a "written complaint" to both of them (registered with receipt) and "keep the copy".

Do you have any photocopy of your recent application to change to UL 750 or was that an informal communication? If you have any written document, good. Otherwise you need to go through a rigorous and painful negotiation process.

    Before that, go to

BSNL - Broadband Account Management > enter your id and password > my orders, check the status

If in doubt, please check attachment " order status" which is a screen shot.

    or

BSNL Portal and check my orders.

If your plan is changed and it is a billing error ( it can happen), then talk with the billing section before going to higher authorities. They will correct it in less than a day's time.

If your order status shows that your plan is home -250, then you think of other options. In BSNL it is reference and recommendation that counts. If you have any friends in BSNL, ask their help.

Do you know the person who informed you that plan is changed. Talk to him first. Ask his help to solve the issue.

Also check your bsnl email id, you should check this regularly when you exceed the usage limit, an email will be sent to this id. Check whether you have got such email ( if somebody had told this earlier, i could have save a few thousand rupees).

Hope they will do something. All the best.
