Thread: Ghaziabad Broadband not working since 6 Mar 2009

Guys,

Ghaziabad Broadband is not working since 6 Mar 2009. Some cable was broken on 6th Mar 09, since then broadband is not working.

It has affected areas of Indirapuram, Sahibabad, Mohan Nagar, Vaishali and Vasundhra.

Worst part is that they are not picking phones. If you meet their officers, they do not respond. Everyday local newspapers are also putting this news in bold, but BSNL is not doing anything.

Now 15 days have passed, and in few areas, broadband is started for few hours but speed is so slow that I can not open any single website.

Most of the DNS are not working.

Dont know what and how to deal with BSNL??????

Can you guys send me all imp DNS Servers.

There was a problem for 2-3 days before holi. But now the cables have been renewed and everything is back to normal.
I am making this post from Indirapuram. Have not faced any issue of connection for the last 10 days. Neither has any of my friends in this area.
There may be other problems in your case that have not been identified.

Thanks for updates. I met BSNL indirapuram officer today and he said that it is working for some nos and not working for some nos. But he did not gave me any clear date, and neither agreed to send his executive why internet not working at my home.

Can you tell which DNS Server you are using?

61.1.96.69 and 61.1.96.71 are not working.

I was able to connect using 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220, but later it also got disconnected.

Please tell your DNS Servers.

hehe...after reading this i remember when the cables were stolen in nagpur.. and phones and broadband was dead for 1 month..lazy bsnl guys doing work very casually..Whole of west nagpur was cut off due to that cable theft

I do not give specific DNS. My system is configured to obtain DNS automatically. That allows me to connect easily. May be some loss in speed. But that is a small cost.

It is still not working.
61.1.96.69 and 61.1.96.71 as well as OpenDNS not working.
I asked another person in Indirapuram, he is also not able to connect to internet for last 15 days.

I am fedup with BSNL. Their officers say that problem will be resolved by this friday:-( They are not ready to send anybody to look my connection until they fully restore from backend.
