Presume you have selected correct settings for "Bridged" mode. Apply SAVE reboot etc.

    TRY:
    Start/ Network/ LAN
    properties
    tcp/IP
    properties
    Obtain IP address automatically
DNS ( preferred. no change , if you don't want )
    present one or
    208.67.220.220
    208.67.222.222
    apply save.

Para two : Post ipconfig /all data
    when in "Bridged Mode "

    REFERENCES : similar modem/router.

It seems that u hav not dialed the pppoe connection from ur comp, when the modem was in bridge mode. If that doesnt work try using manual settings on ur comp.

As by this above link i always use to select the "Bridging" in steps 6.
    is it wrong

Before 6 months by google i got this steps as answer for bridging mode to open all port for Utorrent

Now tell me what type i have to follow to open ports for the utorrent download and how i have configure the moderm

    kindly check this attachments
    IP_config_All.JPG

and one more thing in bridge mode i cannot ping the modem or login to modem

In my case, the sub net mask is 255.255.255.0. I used to have a limited or no connectivity for 2-3 days recently. i tried everything ( then subnet mask was shown as 255.255.0.0), then i format C and reinstalled windows. After everything was ok (automatically).

I had a similar ipconfig/all (when i had limited or no connectivity),

ip address was 169...... instead of 192.168.1..2
No value for default gateway ( should be 192.168.1.1)
No DHCP server (should be 192.168.1.1)

Go to network connections, take properties, TCP/IP> properties, choose "use following ip address" instead of " obtain ip address automatically)

    and enter those values manually
Please check the attached screen shot.

    Default Had a similar problem

Use the values in screen shot. If this fails, i suggest format C and reinstall windows (it worked for me)

Happy to hear that. By the way, how did you managed to post in this forum when you had limited or no connectivity. I was in total black out. Had to figure it all myself. You can add reputation if you like. It is on the left side, 2nd one, above "post reply".

As far as I know, this change will not cause any problem. You can use automatic settings once you format C and reinstall windows.

These settings are almost same all over India. Since we know those values, we corrected a bad automatic setting with manual entry.

As nobody given the solution has responded, I am responding, no wrong things done I assure you, as you are not familiar with netwoking you cannot understand whatever I say (you have to go to an institute, NOTE: still doubtful). But I assure you nothing wrong done, and will not affect anything.
