Thread: Rebate to the Govt. employees for BB usage

[/SIZE] BSNL authorities have recently introduced Govt.employees scheme allowing 20% rebate to Govt.employees including pensioners for Broadband usage and rental. Accordingly I had applied duly submitting the required documents in Feb.09. But in the bill of March 09, I found no rebate has been allowed except charging rental of Modem for Rs. 50/- instead of Rs. 60/- ( I am having Home-250 plan with rented Modem). Is it correct ? If so, the so called rebate scheme is nothing but a farce. It implies, in case of outright purchase of modem by an existing user, no rebate is applicable. What is the bsnl authority's say in the matter ? (My phone number: exchange - CDO/ Westbengal telecom circle - 237291 )

Please see the attached file. It is a document from BSNL website. It says Govt. employees, both state and central govt., retired and serving, existing and new connection are eligible for 20% discount on Broadband Service charges (usage and rental). Show this to BSNL authorities in your exchange. And are you sure you furnished details correctly?please check with local authorities.

please contact the Accounts Officer of your exchange immediately.
For 250 plan u are eligible for a rebate of Rs.50 per month on rental.
The modem rental has been reduced to Rs.50 for everybody. its not any special rebate.
