Thread: Shocking speed!!!

Hi guys....
I am using 500 c plan...
last night when i started downloading, I was shocked to see 1.7 Mbps downloading speed...
I usually get around 240 kbps...
I was shocked to see this...
I wish this happens every time...
believe me guys....this happened....

hmmm... was that continuous? I mean for a long duration?

Which area you are from? I didn't notice any difference.

I am from Bhopal.
It was continuous for about 3 hours. After this it just died.
May be at that time traffic was low.
This happened about 2 months back too, and with my friend too(he also uses same plan).
Guys I feel...bhopal is the fav. place for BSNL....hehehe....

maybe some upgrading work is taking place.. who knows what new plans may come this april.

It is not uncommon to get 1.7Mpbs Speed under 500C plan, you just need Telephone lines with possibly without joints, no parallel tel connection, virus free PC and above all good line quality.

gettin 1.7 mb isnt suprising getting 2.7 mb speed is suprising on 500 plan

remember ur connection is upto 2mb

i seen stable 2mb speed in some sites

Brother...when you get a lot more than the usual then I think its a surprising...

Has anyone got shocking speed??? just like this...

Dumb thread is dumb.
There's nothing "shocking" about getting decent speeds. One day you will realize that even 2Mbps is trash compared to the rest of the world. China, Sri Lanka and South East Asia are years ahead on broadband. What we get here is a sick joke.

well ashu is not really that much shocking for geeky people like us,
500 plans have upto 2 mbit spds so its possible u get speed upto that, now if never got the full speed before then its a new thing to u, but its actually nothing.

for instance i always get over 200 kb/sec speeds in downloading and trnts, thats normal
but i once got 3.6 m bit speed, now that was shockin , but it was only for 5 seconds
