Select PPP and PPPoE instead of "Bridged"

    Check this.
    1.Open Internet Explorer
    and on the toolbar,

    select > Tools >
    Internet Options,

then click on the Connections tab.
Put a DOT in the Never dial a connection setting,

    click Apply
    and OK out.

    Default Siemens SL2_141 as multiuser

    Dear essbebe,

I have configured the modem as 'always on' successfully. However I have failed to bring out a situation where more than one computer is wanting to access the net simultaneously in a 'NOT always on' situation. To expand this what i mean is that in a pppoe_0_35_1 mode the modem gets configured in 'Always On' situation and here I have no problem as a multiuser. However I donot want this situation as my subscription is not an unlimited one.

I would like to log out whenever I am not using the net, while keeping my modem ON. As of now I have removed pppoe_0_35_1 from the settings of WAN and have configured the modem in bridge mode. When I log on to the net from any one machine, there is no problem in logging in but when I wish to logon simultaneously from another machine, I am not allowed to so. Configuring it in pppoe_0_35_1 is keeping the net always on whenever the modem is swithched on and that is why I removed it. Did I do anything wrong?

So to summarise what I would like is:
    1. Modem always swithced on
    2. Net is 'NOT ALWAYS ON' and gets ON only when logging through dialer.
(as the subscription is not unlimited type)
    3. Simultaneous use by more than one computer through dialers in individual
    machines, separately.

    Please help.

    Thanking in anticipation.

    Utpal
