    Exclamation Problem With BSNL Connection

    friends, i have subscribed to home 500c plan of bsnl, and have scheduled task to connect to the internet at 2.15 am. but if i keep my modem on for 10-15 minutes, i cannot connect to the net without restarting the modem.why is this happening, and how to solve the problem?

    are you connected to the modem via USB?

    Give more details such as the DSL statistics, modem/router model, OS, connection mode, etc., so that the reason can be identified and the required setting can be changed. Always keep in mind that, if somebody is to help will require necessary info too.

    os: xp sp2

Configuration files are text based and human editable. You do not have to reboot the system for most tasks. In fact, you should overcome your instinct to reboot.".....Can u teach me some of these?

    and, can u solve another problem?
    i opened my modem configuration page...but couldn,t login...whats the password and id they r asking for? is it the portal id that bsnl provided or the user id?

    Sorry! I don't think these can be taught thru this forum. May help in case of doubts.

    The default user id and password should be admin. This is the case with most of the modems. But it is not the portal id given by BSNL.
