I changed my plam from "no broadband" to UL750 plan
    applied on 23rd april
    activated on 27th april
next month i got a bill that showed two plans:my existing one +UL750
After some talks with BSNL,they charged me 150Rs for 4 days of usage.

May be your plan change didn't happened on 27 th. They might have scheduled it on 27th and activated on 4th. Hence the charges. Check under My orders (in BSNL portal). Look for the provisioned/effective date.

Default Is there any minimum hire period for a plan change?

If i change the plan for this month, then can I change it again on next month?
Or is there any minimum period (2 month, 3month) that I should keep the plan without changing.

You can change your plan at any time you wish. But your plan change will happen only after 1st of next month. Please note, it does not mean from 1st.

    Please go through

Angry Plan change & slow connection

I have to wait for 2 months b4 my H500 C+ got changed to H750UL. and that too after some harsh words. Now I can't be sure whether it has been changed or not because their damned site "bbservice.bsnl.in" doesn't open..
Incidentally, my download speed adn everything has gone down drastically. Earlier when i was using 500 Combo, the download speed was about 150-180KB but now it's hardly 30KB. My query is: does the speed come down in 750UL+? If so, why and any ways to circumvent it?

The maximum speed for UL 750 + is 32 KBps. I use UL 750 and get a consistent average of 28 KBps. What you are getting is quite OK and it is not possible to increase further.

Try BSNL Portal. Under My orders, check for " provisioned " and "effective date "

Try BSNL Portal or BSNL - Broadband Account Management. Under My orders, check for " provisioned " and check the "effective date "

According to BSNL, provisioned is the word for plan change approval.

I won't bet on customer care info. You seem to access a different portal. But since it shows speed 256, very likely the plan is UL 750. Here is how my portal (data.bsnl.in) is showing

Please mention your location. For checking usage, try this

Try http://data.bsnl.in/wps/portal. It is also BSNL official portal. Check under " My orders " .

Please mention the date on which you got the connection. It can happen if you are a new user. Please go through the 4 Ways to Check BSNL Broadband Usage link I gave before.

If possible post screen shot after blackening your personal details.

    Hi reddanirudh,

I am also facing same issue. I was not at home when BSNL ppl came and installed connection. They just gave userid/password to may parents which is configured in Modem.
I thought we can get upto 2Mpbs speed in this connection. But so far i am only getting around 220-230Kbps max, I have checked several time with speedtest.net.

What are you talking about, it's 2Mb/Sec and you are getting 220KB/S. you know the difference lies between b and B. 8 x b = 1B. Got it?
if you are getting 220KB/S means you are getting 220*8 = 1760/1024 = 1.7Mb/S. which is almost the maximum you can get with BSNL.
I hope i cleared your doubt!

Please check with your local exchange. Ask for your portal ID and password. They will have in their records.

Portal ID is a 14 digit no ID.

    Eg. abc99925112008

    abc - from your surname

    999 - a 3 digit no.

    25112008 - Date of application

Since your plan got changed from 27th, 4 days -27,28,29,30 comes under your existing plan. For this 4 days, you need to pay according to your new plan. It is routine procedure by BSNL without caring customer comfort.
