Please mention your intended plan. Try BSNL - Broadband Account Management or http://data.bsnl.in/wps/portal.

Use your 14 digit Portal ID and password to log in. Password is usually password. Under " My orders ", check effective date and Provisioned is the word for plan change.

You can recieve sms and email alerts when you cross your usage limit.

Question billing

I have been previously using Home-250(annual) till the last month (April). I opted for the plan change and i went to to the BSNL office for the opted plan change(Combo 500C-annual) on 24th April. They told that the new plan will be effective from the 1st of May. As usual, the plan change did not happen from the may1. Believing that the plan would have changed i started downloading during the unlimited hours. The usage was upto approx.600MB till 6th may. From the 7th of may only, the usage was zero during the unlimited hours. Now, if i use upto the usage limit of 1524MB for this month(i.e approx.924 MB from 7 to 31st May), will i get the extra money to be paid for the excess usage of first three days? Can anyone help me...

Hi dilip,
I am using Home 250 Plan at present and I want to change the plan to Unlimited Plan. At present I am getting around 140 to 200 kbps speed with Home 250 plan. Shall I get the more speed around 1 mbps if I change the plan to unlimited?

Please provide your suggestions.

Regards
Sreeny

@sreperu
No.
Unlimited plan Home 750speed is 256 Kbps or 32 KB /sec
Higher speeds may be available at a greater cost.
Check different tariff plans here.

Change to Home 500 or Home 500C or Home500C+
for unlimited d/l during 2AM and 8 AM.

Unlike limited plans, unlimited plans give lower speed.

UL 750 - 256 Kbps or 32 KBps - Unlimited for Rs. 750 per month
UL 1350 - 512 Kbps or 64 KBps - Unlimited for Rs. 1350 per month

I use UL 750, which is quite useful and safe from billing issues. If you are a heavy downloader or intend to download movies and big files, Home 500, 500C or 500C+ will be a better choice. These plans provide the same up to 2 Mbps speed and has a night unlimited download facility.

Hi Dilip and Essbebe
Thanks for your suggestion. I am a full time stock market trader, need of high speed internet connection and usually uses 8 to 10 Hrs of internet/day. I hardly download from internet. Could it be helpful if I get the Business plans?

Awaiting for your suggestions!

I changed my plam from "no broadband" to UL750 plan
applied on 23rd april
activated on 27th april
next month i got a bill that showed two plans:my existing one +UL750
After some talks with BSNL,they charged me 150Rs for 4 days of usage.

May be your plan change didn't happened on 27 th. They might have scheduled it on 27th and activated on 4th. Hence the charges. Check under My orders (in BSNL portal). Look for the provisioned/effective date.

Default Is there any minimum hire period for a plan change?

If i change the plan for this month, then can I change it again on next month?
Or is there any minimum period (2 month, 3month) that I should keep the plan without changing.

You can change your plan at any time you wish. But your plan change will happen only after 1st of next month. Please note, it does not mean from 1st.

Please go through

Angry Plan change & slow connection

I have to wait for 2 months b4 my H500 C+ got changed to H750UL. and that too after some harsh words. Now I can't be sure whether it has been changed or not because their damned site "bbservice.bsnl.in" doesn't open..
Incidentally, my download speed adn everything has gone down drastically. Earlier when i was using 500 Combo, the download speed was about 150-180KB but now it's hardly 30KB. My query is: does the speed come down in 750UL+? If so, why and any ways to circumvent it?

The maximum speed for UL 750 + is 32 KBps. I use UL 750 and get a consistent average of 28 KBps. What you are getting is quite OK and it is not possible to increase further.

Try BSNL Portal. Under My orders, check for " provisioned " and "effective date "
