When moving to a higher plan, there is month's rent as advance. Not sure why they charged it in May bill. When I switched, it came the following month. Please check with the accounts section whether it is a mistake or not.

Check with the call center people/ local exchange. Ask specifically the no. for reporting billing errors.

There is a prescribed form which you can avail from your local exchange, get it attested by a competent authority in your office and submit for concession.

It will take almost a week. Keep checking. Follow ups can do magic with BSNL.
    You can also try http://data.bsnl.in/wps/portal

When I switched plan, I used to call the exchange where I gave the application. They are dealt in the administration section and then passed to technical section. They took good amount of time to do that. I had to call them daily and ask when my plan change will happen. After one week, they simply signed it and passed on to the technical section. Which again took one week to activate it.

    previous plan : HOME 250.
i applied for plan change on 26th june. my BSnl connection is old so i hav to check my usage on 10.240.240.195/webLogin.jsp

the portal says that my plan is changed to HOME 500C on 6th july.
so i start downloading between 2 to 8 am evryday and i confirm evrytime that the chargeable units = 0 evrytime i download between 2 to 8 am...so i jst wanted to know whether i am safe???

should i wait till next month to start download during night unlimited...

If chargeable units are zero, I think you are safe. They may ask some advance next month's bill. Most probably one month's rent.

Normally plan change occurs on or after 1st of every month. Go to data.bsnl.in, take " my orders " , enter your telephone no, post the screen shot. Check the effective date and plan status. While posting the screen shot, blacken the personal details.

In UL 750, telephone bill is irrespective of your broadband plan. If you choose UL 750 plus, there is no telephone bill or free calls. You need to pay for the calls you make.

you have to give plan change application during last days of month 1.e. from 21 to 28 of current month .Your plan will change in next month .Dont take any pain whether your plan is change or not your bill is prepared in dotsoft (billing system ) if your order is completed in dotsoft on 1 st of any month.then your bill is according to new plan.

Actually in most cases, plan change is not happening 1st of every month. Every month we get at least one query that plan change has not occurred. Plan change is a real mess with BSNL.

Plan change activity is completed by Banglore BSNL people and they start from 1 st of every month and they get lot of plan change request every month so it takes time. They are not changing plan in middle because it will cause wrong billing suppose you are having unlimited plan and chage it to 250 home then how they will do billing .
