UL 750 comes with 256 Kbps speed. It is sufficient for browsing and chatting. Also there is peace of mind as there is fixed billing.

last month(nov 2009) i requested for plan change from 750ul plus bsnl bb plan to 500c+
from 1 dec the plan changeD TO 500c+ SUCESSFULLY
but the speed is still locked to 256kbps (30 KB/sec) the speed never crosses it
since i should get upto 2 mbps . for 500c+
i did every thing possible with bsnl personnel and all they could say is it is due to some fault in telephone line due rain and said they will check it. but nobody seems to understand that my plan has changed to 500c+ sucessfully but speed still remains capped for 256kbps (30 KB/sec)

Go to data.bsnl.in, my orders and check the effective date and status as Provisioned. If your plan is really changed, a written complaint with receipt to Nodal officer and Appellate authority may work. Address and phone no on the backside of your bill.
i called the respective DGM Office in haddows road today 10 am.
and they were able to understand my problem and i got the 256kbps lock released

Thats the problem with bsnl, I suppose their system is quite not good in tracking all the details customer wise
the most funniest thing is u believed what the bsnl cc told u?. pretty funny to hear, people still believe in BSNL.
I am also struck with bsnl because i don't have airtel (no free ports as of now, they have been telling the same since one year) , i apply for connection every month in their website and they call me with the same reply.
when ever i call bsnl customer they give one more landline no and tell me to call them and the no they give keeps on ringing and no body lifts the phone.
so, i go to bsnl office and bribe them and it works fine by the time i am in front of my system.

8 digit 10 digit or 12 digit.
How some have 8 digit numbers and
and can access usage details direct.
( no need for 14digit portal PW etc )

Dear friend...today i got my bsnl bill for December 2009. It was like a nuclear bomb triggered into my head. they charged me 35181.00 for dec 2009. Now i am telling you the story of this ******* bsnl service.
I was using BB250 plan for 2 years. I applied plan for plan change to BB 500 in the middle of October 2009. They changed my plan on 6th of November. I can see that my plan has been transferred on 6th November 2009 from the portal address (10.240.43.216). On November my total uses were 2.194gb and Excluding Night Unlimited(GB) 1.654 gb. They send me a bill of rs 1333.00. The total charge was under the plan BB 250. I don't know why? On December my total uses were 58.217 gb. they charged me 31639.00 for broadband with 40 % discount. my uses is only 2.363 gb under Excluding Night Unlimited....... Now please suggest me what should I do? I am not going pay this huge money at any how. Can I take any legal action for this foolish act by BSNL employee???

how should i apply, can i give letter to offeice or customer care. today i call to 1500 and said i want to change plan, they taken details, they said next month it will convert. actually who will change the plan, bsnl office or customer care.
You need to go to the office in person and give a written request. I think office of JTO will handle the plan change activities. Please check with the local exchange. They will be in a better position to guide you. Don't believe online applications, they will keep you running.

You have to take print out of your November and December usage.
Also show Plan has been changed in ' My Orders " Page.
Check any overlapping usage data
in NU.
Say start at 0100 or 0155 and ends at 0300/0800 etc. .
Use FireFox browser with addons, Adblockplus. FlashBlock No Script etc to
reduce data usage by 30 to 40 %
Also download Datafox usage meter.
Check your January usage now.
