Default Problem: Configuring Trendnet Router with BSNL modem

    Hi All,
I am having problem in configuring my Trendnet TEW-432BRP C1.0R router with BSNL's UT300R2U modem. I even took help of Trendnet helpdesk and configured the router as instructed by them. But the router does not connect to the internet. However, I am able to connect directly.
I even tried changing the IP address of the router. But the problem remains.
    Please help me in configuring.

I have gone through the earlier posts but none of them were helpful.

Default Screen shot of lan setup in ut300r2u

Attached is the screen shot of the LAN setup that I get in the modem. There is no option for enabling the DHCP if configured in bridge mode.

I have tried that. The problem is that the router is not able to connect to the internet.

It seems to be some setting is required to be done in the BSNL modem.

    I have tried that.
1.In technical matters you should be specific.
    I have to understand
that your tried the UT300R2U modem
in "Always On" mode, to enable DHCP mode
and could not get DHCP options in the modem.

    2.
But the router does not connect to the internet. However, I am able to connect directly.
I even tried changing the IP address of the router.
3.Understand that you can connect to Internet with UT300R2U modem in "Bridged" dial up Mode.

    4. Did you download QUICK Installation guide or user manual for the trend WIFI router ? for giving reference pages for settings ?

    5. Try connecting the RJ45 from modem to TrendRouter LAN1 .
Make the usual settings in the Trend router.
    Then from Lan2 to computer.
    report result.

I cofigured the UT 300R2U modem in Router mode (PPPoE) and am able to connect even in always on mode when the modem is connected directly to my PC.

This option works if I connect the modem directly to my PC.

I have the quick installation guide and did all the settings exactly as mentioned. But it did not work.

Make the usual settings in the Trend router.
    Then from Lan2 to computer.

It does not work. I tried configuring the router in both bridge and router mode.

I even tried configuring the modem in router mode and configuring the trendnet router to acquire IP (in DHCP or Fixed IP) but even this did not work.

I also tried inter-changing the cables but to no avail.

Thanks Prashanth. It worked. But I am having another problem when i configure the modem in PPPoE mode. I am not able to log in to yahoo and hotmail. The log in screen opens but does not go any further. All other sites work properly. This happens even when I connect the modem directly to my PC/Laptop.

In bridge mode, I don't face this problem. Kindly provide a solution.

Also, I am still not able to understand why my WiFi router is not able to dial in when I am able to dial in if I connect the modem direcly to my PC.
