    Exclamation Funny problem, worried!

    Hi friends, when I try to reach the main page of the modem (192.168.1.1) the userid/pwd screen appears, once I provide the same blank screen appears. When I type 192.168.1.1/look.html the screen with some detail in chinese appear. But how to get the main page. The modem is WA3002 G4 (UTStarcom type 4). Anybody has suggestion/idea.

    I am able to connect to the net in bridge mode (which is what the last time configured when this problem was not there). My OS is Mandriva 2009 and browser is Firefox.

    thanks in advance.

    Default 192.168.1.1/look.html

    @newprouser
    why do you type look.html
    From some other thread posted by me.
    ( not suggested here by me )
    @matrix must have picked up this address
    instead of 192.168.1.1
    Para two:
    After accessing modem
    type 192.168.1.1/look.html
    to check the FW version and corresponding
    SW version.
    If nothing is shown please Ignore request.
    Para two:
    compare with device status. ( addl info in above mode )

    Yes, it is based on your post only I typed the look.html as just 192.168.1.1 was showing only blank screen. As shown in your screen shot there is no additional info in my case. May be the modem make are different so that is the reason.... Thanks

    @matrix
    The problem solved ?
    if not, in browser
    try after entering 192.168.1.1 Id and pw
    type 192.168.1.1/menu.html
    the following will appear in left side.
    ......................... to access.
    Device Info (* 192.168.1.1/info.html)
    Advanced Setup (* 192.168.1.1/wancfg.cmd)
    Diagnostics (* 192.168.1.1/diag.html)
    Management (* 192.168.1.1/backupsettings.html)

    etc etc.
    Para two : 192.168.1.1/look.html
    Try again. Post data. This is to check up
    whether Firmware update is possible./can be tried
    as last resort.

    Feedback.

    just check if you are using mozilla or any such browser as they have a option to block auto refresh of the page ... if you are using it then disable it and it should work fine...

    @essbebe

    Now it is back to normal, just 192.168.1.1 brings up the main page after id/pwd. Thanks again. See the screen shots. Don't think and firmware update necessary.
