Thread: night unlimited query..

i have a query here..

i have started to surf from 9 pm in the night.. and i continued till 1..
then i scheduled a download in utorrent from 2 am till 8 am..

in between i didnt disconnect the laptop with the internet..

so ,
1. will the time be counted from 9 pm till 8 am..
or the unlimited time automatically changes at 2 ?

yes it will be counnted

Sometimes in change over period,
the meter shows 30 minute block.
In this case the readings could be from
0900PM to 0100 AM chargeable units
0100AM to 0230 AM --------do-------
0230AM to say 0745 FREE .
Check in Usage portal and confirm.

My IP is 59.xx.xx.xx Home 250

there are many scripts available to reboot your router automatically. which router do you have?

Sorry for this out of this thread question. As per my experience in this forum, you are, almost, the 1st to post reply to any question asked in this forum. I wonder how it is possible having just Home 250 plan?

i am currently using utstarcom WA3002-g4 wireless router...

is there scripts for this ??

I have Airtel Combo499 + free NU Topup at 2 Mbps speed H24.
I use Firefox with lots of add ons to avoid popups/advts/flash/video/signatures in forum/avatars etc from regular web sites/forums
In effect total DAY usage monthly quota 1GB +1GB ( home250) effectively could be 3 GB.
That is how i visit various websites/forums to collect and
give suggestions here. and post screen shots also.
Not interested in movies.
Also monitor BSNL usage with DataFox. ,effortlessly. daily.

i am doing that.. now. but its not working...

even i tried the TST tool.. the script was a success.. but when it runs, the screen waits for login and nothin happens unless i type it manually...

if u started ur connection at exaxctly 9pm, then ur dowloads from 2 to 8 wont be counted even if u dont disconnect. it depends on the time at which u started ur coonection. if u started at @ say 9:10 then ur free download tim will be from 2:10 to 8:10. c dis thread http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...e-timings.html (Night Unlimited Usage timings)

so u mean whatever time we start the connection, say even at 10 Pm, the free unlimited time starts from 2 to 8 only and there is no need to reboot the modem .. !!???

Please try your connection with different blocks of
overlapping time and confirm yourself.

No need to download anything. Just surf.
Disable all automatic update applications
at Start up.
An AV application can change virus data any time.

Next day check USAGE portal how data is calculated shown.
Post a screen shot of usage details for benefit of others.

yup. thats what i have been doing till now. but if u connect at say 9:59 ur free download only starts from 2:29 to 8:29, so u have to be careful with timings

I also agree with essbebe.
Test yourself with different specific time blocks and limited surfing for a couple of days.
Once you are satisfied yourself, then only go for full downoads.

whats the harm in using a script...? "Precaution is better than Cure" just once you have to configure it na.... then why take risk...? just search the forum and see how much bill's others have got, if those bills are ok for you then you can experiment...!

using IE.. i hope its de best one... automated using scheduler...

well yes , there is a possibility
