Unhappy Gets connected but can not connect - Funny

    Hello,

I get connected using UserID and then password, it shows BSNL connected at right hand bottom of the screen.. but.. when I try to open browse any site it shows "page can not be displayed". Even I can not connect to anything using TN3270, not even to my usual VPN.

I tested my Laptop and Modem including my cables at another BSNL dataone customer [ one of my friend, fortunately ] and I am able to browse and work as normal. This shows that there is no problem with my setup (laptop/modem/cables).

I have BSNL home 250 Plan (2Mbps/1GB). From last monday I am facing this problem.

I register the complaint with BSNL but the engineers there say once you get connected then we are ok, it is not problem with us.

How can I resolve this problem.

    Thank you in advance

Hi, BSNL ppl are not technically capable of answering such questions regarding BB, they are only trained in responding to telephone related problem.
Now come to the point, you mean u r able to browse successfully at a different phone line, but not with your own. Only line is different and setup is same. Pls confirm. Then I think, may be, the exchange are different. Still I cannot find a proper reason why this is happening.

Nothing connects if I connect to BSNL, no VPN.

In process of testing your modem at ur friends place your ID must have port binded. Call a NIB person and ask him to reliese your portbinding. (In portbinding you are connected the DSL appears but you dont have access to the pages).
