    Default MT882 LAN port connection

If you are using "Dialup" mode
do you get any error message ?
can you access the modem pages for checkup ?

see this website for settings for Mt880 similar.
    New Page 1

Check in Diagnostics page and if no connection
open Summary page and click the "NOTE" icon against
connection 0_35. and wait for a minute .

Your PM's. Get connected with MT882.
    in 'Always On " mode.
Then remove Rj45 from computer end and connect to WAN port of WRT100 etc.
    Para two;
    Start Network LAN properties
    TCP/IP
    Properties
    Enter
    192.168.1.10
    255.255.255.0
    192.168.1.1
    dns
    208.67.220.220
    208.67.222.222
    Apply save
    Open browser
    in address bar
    http://192.168.1.1/hwhtml/pMain.html
    etc
    see my previous post.

    Check cable connections.

i have a feeling something is wrong with your cable , or your LAN adapter is disabled , go to control panel->network connections->and check to see if Local Area Connection is ENABLED .. Usually connecting your pc's LAN port to whatever LAN port of your router should make the LAN light glow...check your LAN cables

    START /Network LAN Properties
In the page on top your ethernet card is shown.
    Check "configure"

    What Device status shows?

    Is it enabled ?

    It says
    Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection
    Device Type - Network Adapters
    Manufacturer - Intel
    Location - PCI bus 6, device 8, function 0
Device Status - This device is working properly

It is enabled. But it says network cable unplugged and theres a crossmark adjacent to the 2 monitor icon.

We are anxious, that you do not loose
    Internet connection.

Confirm how you surf the internet now ?

with your system/mt882 or from cyber cafe etc ?
Para two: if from own system
Can you access the Modem ' menu pages ?

    your connection is automatic
    or
you have to enter your userId and PW ? on a "Dialer"

Start RUN type cmd type ipconfig /all
    give details here.

indeed a very strange issue. have you tried connecting it to all 4 ports of the router , its very hard to say that the LAN card is gone , if there is anyway you could connect it to another modem/pc and check, after which if it still shows the disconnected sign , then its mostly your LAN card..
