Unhappy Problem With Modem Activity Error (BSNL WLL)

I have a BSNL WLL hi-speed internet connection. Every thing was fine untill yesterday evening, when my modem started showing Errors in receiving data.
As a result my speeds have gone down from 18 kilo bytes per sec to about 1 - 2kilobyte per sec. Has my modem gone bad? Should i get it replaced? or there are some windows tweaks that shall solve my problem.

    Unhappy

I hv been getting that error since yesterday evening. each time i connect n try to use the net i get an error (roughly) 1 error for 10 kB of data transferred. Tried re-booting n even reinstalling the modem drivers. Didnt help.
Can the problem be caused due to some technical problems within the BSNL?
I think of waiting for a day n see what happens.

Check the antenna for your WLL connection .
    Any loose connections?
Change of orientation due to strong winds ?
