Default Dataone connection freezes after I start Vuze

    Hi Guys,

I have been using dataone for the last couple of years with a Dlink GLB 502T. I have been using Vuze (erstwhile Azureus) for torrent downloads during this peiod without any hassles. However, since the last few weeks, I have observed that after connecting, my torrents get decent speeds of about 27 kb/sec. However, after about 10 minutes or so, the torrents stop downloading as well as seeding (speeds reduce to 0 kb/sec) and the connection freezes. The connection is not dropped but I cannot access the net at all. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting but that does not work either. The only thing that works is restarting my computer - then it works for a few minutes and freezes up again. Is anybody else facing a similar problem? Any suggestions on what can be done? The router is connected in bridge mode. I have tried not starting Vuze and then the connection seems to work fine.

    Regards,
    Abhijit

    when this problem crops up
    press CTRL+ALT+DEL
    Task manager page will open.
see which are the applications "Not responding"
    Also cpu memory usage.

there are no applications that are not responding... everything works fine... except that it's as if i'm not connected to the net - even the connection can be disconnected and reconnected again (not that this helps establish connectivity)...

Always try to giver a full answer.
When you are using "Vuze" what other applications are running /
are they needed? how many ?

    How about memory usage ?
I look at this as a simple computer "freezing " problem.

see i can close two programs/ now annexe deleted by me.

Yes i see what you are driving at but the point is that the applications themselves do not freeze... i still have enough resources to watch a movie parallely without any degradation in performance... it's just the connection that's screwed up... for all practical purposes, it's as if i'm disconnected from the dataone connection (although the connection status shows "Connected")... i can access the router login page but that's as far as i can go - anything beyond the local network is not accessible. I have even tried pinging some of the public sites but that returns without even being able to resolve the ip.

I'm wondering if it's got something to do with the ISP blocking my IP - I am able to keep the connection alive if i do not start downloading using Vuze. If i do start downloading, no amount of reconnection helps - i have to restart my computer to get the connection alive again.

Right now i'm able to post to this site because i've kept Vuze in "Pause all transfers" mode... if i start my torrents, the connection will soon go dead and i will have to restart.

All the same, I will get the connection to freeze again and take some screenshots of the processes and resource usage so that we can rule out the possibility that seems to be at the top of your mind right now. Really appreciate your responses... thanks!

    Default Use utorrent

    Simple solution

    Use Utorrent client ,
Since your router blocks your PC
since if LAN sessions exceeds certain limit ,
it is taken as Denial of service attack

_i hope this will solve yr prob

    it happened to me..

try to set the values to defaukt..

more connection , it causes connectio to drop..

the default setting itself works superbly..

    simply reinstall

do a complete clean... no trace and reinstall
