Default Pune - Mumbai 1160ms ping

I use the BSNL 500 plan. A week ago I started playing WoW again and I was surprised to see latencies greater than 1000 on my usual servers. Earlier, it was only about max 300ms.

Im gonna use TCP/IP optimizer, but just as a record, here are the current ones

1160 ms ping. From pune to mumbai. Gay. Epic gay.
    .70MB/s Dl speed
    .09MB/s UL speed

Using speedtest dot net. Not allowed to post links yet =.=

My ping to logon.neverendless-wow.com is 900++ ms.
Thats the WoW server i play.
    Any suggestions are welcome.
This is a fresh windows install btw. No viruses/spywares. Triple checked.

    MY pc specs
    AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual 4000+
    2.11Ghz
    2gb ram
8+ gb free space on windows drive.

After using TCP/IP optimiser on optimal settings for 2000kb/s internet connection, results were

    Pune - Mumbai ping = 880ms
    .76 MB/s DL Speed
    .11 MB/s UL Speed

800ms ping to my wow server

    Restarting modem, n trying.

Im not much of a guru about internet connection n lans n all, but i do think that pune-mumbai 880ms ping is simply crazy.

dude just go with reliance DSL not wimax, u will be amazed by the superb low ping times and they give speed as advertised and also u can switch to any plan as u like in ur monthly billing circle for ex when i have to DL more i switch to higher speed plans when DLs are over i switch back to 300KbPS plan they charge on pro rata basis u don't have to pay for whole just to use high speed.

the service of a provider has a lot to do with your area.. ask people in your area which provider is popular.. and once you find one , try pinging these sites on their machines and seeing if its suitable
