Default How to connect PDA mobile phone to BSNL broadband (wireless)

Hello - I have a BSNL broadband connection DNA-A211-1 modem/wireless router. I have enabled PPPoE + WEP. I am able to connect my desktop via ethernet and my notebook via wireless. However I am yet to be successful in connecting and browsing through my PDA phone (O2 XDA Atom Exec).

On enabling wireless on my PDA, it shows connected but I am unable to browse. On trying to ping the router (192.168.1.1), it responds unable to ping device.

Am I missing some settings? Can someone help me?

Looking forward to some suitable tips. Thanks in advance.

Default PDA phone (O2 XDA Atom Exec) Internet access.

I have enabled PPPoE + WEP
    Try without any security keys.
Or you may have to enter the WEP key (set in DNA211-I.)
    in the PDA.

Scan for available Wireless network ( secured or unsecured)
    in your PDA.
    Yours listed ?

Default My PDA refuses to hook on to BSNL wireless router...

Firstly - thanks oshhh, superprash2003 & essbebe for stepping in with suggestions.

oshhh: I have noted your option but I haven't yet tried via active sync.
superprash2003: Yes, my PDA is getting an IP address.
essbebe: I have tried lowering the security but with no success so far.

I give you the wireless settings on my router. I have to reiterate that with these I am able to connect my notebook and work at ease. It's my PDA which is hellbent on not connecting to the wireless setup.

Please note that I have enabled PPPoE.

    Basic:
    1. Wireless: enabled.
    2. Access Point: hidden.
    3. Wireless Guest Network: disabled.

    Security:
    1. Network authentication: WPA2-PSK
    2. WPA Encryption: TKIP
    3. WEP Encryption: enabled

    MAC Filter:
    1. MAC Restrict Mode: disabled

    Wireless Bridge:
    1. AP mode: Access point
    2. Bridge Restrict: disabled

In my PDA, the configure wireless network options are:
    General:
    1. Network name: (I give the network name as defined in my wireless router)
    2. Connects to: (I indicate the Internet)
    3. A checkbox to indicate this is a device-to-device (ad-hoc) connection - which I tick (enable)

    Network Key:
    1. Authentication: (I have the options Open, Shared, WPA, WPA-PSK - I have selected WPA-PSK)
    2. Data Encryption: (I have selected TKIP)
    3. Network key: (I indicate the key as defined in my router)
    4. Key index: (I have maintained the same key index number as in my router)

With the above settings, I have already mentioned that I am able to see my wireless network as available and is also indicated as connected. However, on browsing, I get the following message: 'Page cannot be found. Check the name and try again.'

I hope all of the above will help you guys to have an understanding of the scenario at my end. I will be grateful for any further suggestion you can offer to help me climb over this mole-hill problem of getting my PDA hooked on to my wireless setup.

I again offer in advance my sincere thanks for your time, efforts and replies.

    Regards.

Default PDA phone (O2 XDA Atom Exec

Connectivity options abound, and include 802.11b Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 1.2, Infrared and tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE. These features can easily be switched off to conserve battery life and/or to ensure that the device remains usable during air travel.
Check the channel and mode selected in your WIFI router. and PDA.

    .Recommended NO security code.
