1.This modem is very old, and may
not have USB drivers for use with
LINUX OS.
2.Please Wait for comments from
@superprash2003 LINUX expert.
3.Better try LAN port for Fedora 9.
4.Confirm USBport works for Windows OS.
REFERENCE:MT841 Wireless Modem
in this site u can find linux drivers for ur MT841 Wireless Modem

i am having USB drivers.Just wants procedure to create pppeo dial up in fedora 9.
Download the attached zip file and extract it. It shall give you a nicely explained how-to for setting up PPPoE mode connection in Linux.
Hope that this will solve your problems.
fedora recognized the UT300R2U via USB automatically.. so you may not need a driver.. post output of ifconfig from the terminal. that would tell you if fedora recognized your mdoem via USB... any specific reason to connect via USB?
Though my primary OS at home is Linux, I feel very sorry for not able to help as I am using mandriva. In mandriva it is a breeze. Earlier I used fedora (not only fedora most popular distros like suse, redhat, cent, caldera, et al). Please reply to the other replies so that we can provide more help.
NOTE that as much info is required to provide help in this regard as each distro provide a different menu/configuration by default and depends upon the window manger you are using. But one thing is sure for everything there is a shell (cmd in the world of windows) and script based (plain text files) solution in linux but everybody is not comfortable with. So GUI based configuration is preferred for ppl like you.
