Default connecting APC UPS TO BSNL router

    Hi all,

I want to connect APC UPS to BSNL wireless router so that it can work
even when power goes off. But i am not able to find any cable which can connect from my UPS to BSN Modem.
In other words Currently the BSNL wireless router is connected to AC mains through the plug.
I want to connect this to UPS instead of Ac mains . I am not getting any clue how to connect? if any one has connected this can you please tell me which cable to use?

Your BSNL modem is provided with an EXTERNAL
power supply which plugs into the mains AC supply.
Connect this power unit to the AC outlet of UPS.

IF only a single socket is available, use use ,
good quality three way adapter to
connect computer , modem power unit etc.

    UPS ==== output port==>> computer + modem power supply ( 230V ACprimary
    secondary 9 to 12 V AC or DC 1 amp )

Please see the back side of UPS which is attached. I am not getting any clue to connect BSNL PLUG into the back of UPS. There should be some cable in between which i am not aware. Kindly help guys

I think there should be some adapter or something in between. I dont know which adapter to buy or what should be model ? or is it available in market ? if available can i buy online or any outlets. I thought i can use this UPS for BSNL router , looks like it will not work

The output sockets seem to be Non-Indian type. These sockets are called IEC Connector C13. U will need a IEC Connector C14 as the corresponding plug.
Contact a good electrician. Cables with a C14 plug at one end and a C13 line socket at the other are commonly available. He will make u a distribution board (may be with 2/3 Indian type sockets) by using one such cable (half of it obviously).
The u can connect through that distribution board.

As from the Back image of the UPS it is clear that you need to connect the Power cable i.e. coming from the mains into the lower socket where the socket is marked as input (220-240 volts;50-60 HZ;4 A) ........ this power cable comes along with the UPS you just need to connect it into the Input socket ........ for example:-like you connect the power cable at the back of your CPU/monitor etc. .............

then the six sockets provided are the ouput ones ...... marked as Output (220-240 Votls;50-60HZ)............. i mean they are the one's via which you need to connect your computer, router etc. .......

for the connection purpose you could use a good quality three way adapter as mentioned earlier by @essbebe ....................

and the USB port provided is basically for using the software which could control the UPS functionality like Auto-shutdown etc.(though i'm not sure about this;need more info to confirm)

    Hello eruptionjojo

I think you didn't understand my problem. Yes i have connected from AC main to UPS back.

I am talking about connecting BSNL plug to UPS. The 6 UPS ouput SOCKETS(6) is not compatible with BSNL plug. BSNL plug expects a socket (2/3 pin) which UPS doesn't have.

Regarding the adapter, i think even adapter expects the socket (2/3pin)which UPS doesn't have.

In summary: i am looking for an adpater model which can connect to one of the 6 UPS output socket so that i can plug in my bsnl router to this adapter

    thanks panchabut,

I think your suggestion may solve the problem. I need to look for electrician then.

Also i thank everyone who took some time to solve my problem.

Thanks a lot!! I didn't realize that it is UK socket (in the past i have used uk to india converter for connecting my laptop, but it was on the plug. The plug was squared one then i wrapped it with round one to connect it to indian socket). Now here i should look for opposite one i,e Indian to UK and wrap the bsnl plug which is round with this squared one and plug into one of the 6 outlets. I hope this works and once again thanks to all of you for your valuable time.

oh sorry i didn't see your attached images. I think this looks better solution.

I tried with uk-india converter. It didn't work. The plug is quite big and doesn't fit into the 6 UPS outlet. I think i need to contact electrician only who can make this kind of adapter/cable.

Sorry but unfortunately i had removed the images thats because while i had a look at it carefully i found that the six sockets at the back Image of your UPS has the three pins but all of them are vertically shaped while on the contrary the images posted had the single pin as vertical but the other two as horizontal ...........
