Angry Is Airtel affecting Dataone ?

    Hi guys..

i just wanted to play multiplayer .. so i installed cod 4 and played..

the ping is very high .. ( see my sig for bb details ) for my connection

    here is screenshot

as you can see the ping value is ok ... but when it reaches the airtel .. ( i dont know why our Indian BACKBONE (BSNL) should connect to airtel ? ) the ping value shoots up....

nearly to 292 ms from a simple 9-10ms

even when the ping are so high within our country , how can i play multiplyer with other country fellows... ?

my ing values shoots to 350+ ms on variuos servers....

am i right ? correct me if i am wrong anywhere here...

how can i solve it ???????

    post tracert _______________ ( website)-

    Airtel Direct 2Mbps 122.164.xx.xx
    9:57 AM 4/16/2009 ( BSNL later if needed )

Ping statistics for 208.67.216.132: TTL 52.
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss)
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 283ms, Maximum = 283ms, Average = 283ms

Try TCP/IP optimizer from speedguide.net for optimum settings.

    Post Different IP's

in your screenshot Different IP's are returned by different DNS servers although they point to same site, Hence the difference in ping time.

    with OpenDNS
    google.navigation.opendns.com 208.67.219.30

    without
    wxw.l.google.com 209.85.153.104

isp dns servers are usually quicker.. but at times they get overloaded and hence make browsing a lot slower..

You have to maximise different settings for
    proper speed etc.MTU MSS/TTL etc.
( all are inter related )
    try
    1.TCP/IP optimizer from speedguide.net.
PING same web site before and after "ujala"!

2.Dr TCP also tweaks the internet connection.

    3. Registry tweaks also possible but not recommended.
