Hello friends ,Tell me about this modem if i never off this modem during 30 days how many units power consume
I think Modem will not consume much but your PC may carry a good power consumption
for this i guess you need to check the power rating of the Modem and then multiply it with the amount of time it is kept ON for ..............
i can't confirm the exact figure as i have a different modem type ............
and yeah even if you keep your modem ON 24x7 it woun't consume much power though it may suffer from heating ................
Other than the modem/router
what else you intend to keep on H24 ?
Do you use an UPS ?
For modem router only
Primary 240V AC
secondary 12V AC 1 AMP ( max. ); Wattage 12W
If built in rectifier circuit 12V DC or 9V DC 1 AMP max
Current in primary 12W/240V = 50ma.
power W= ( VxI) 240 x 50 ma/1000 = 1 W per hour approx
25 watts per 24hours 750 Watts for 30 days .
Or say 1 UNIT . for a month
Replacement cost of power adapter
if burn out due to excessive heat ( in a month )
say about Rs 250/=
modem cost Rs1600 to Rs 3000
Cost of running a mini fan to cool 24/7
20W/hour say approx 15 units per month.
Cost of Airconditioning : 1 hour say 3 units/per hour 3 x24 x 30= say approx 2000 units.
electricity unit cost
Average electricity unit cost
SaY Rs 3 /=per unit.

you really dont need a fan if you keep your modem on 24/7.. your adapter wouldnt burn out either.. this is from personal experience.. i havent had any problems since years..and as mentioned by essbebe power consumption is very low..

You are dealing with Chinese Indian manufactured items..
My smc 7400VWBR pqwer supply 240V/12V 1amp DC regulated,
was kept on for 7 days by my friend ( given to him on loan and I got back a melted cover
and blown out electrolytic Condenser inside !
( friend got annoyed when I mentioned it to him !)
Even I switch off the DC adapters for the cordless phones in the night.
oh well.. in a way yes.. china made.. but again.. this is from personal experience.. its been working fine for me.. just wanted to mention that![]()
