    open modem page.
    type 192.168.1.1 admin admin *edited
then type in IE address bar
    192.168.1.1/look.html *edited
find out FW version and software version.

You have to substitute beetel220BX FW
@superprash2003 and self do not encourage
FW update ,AT YOUR OWN RISK unless you are prepared to have
a non working modem ( becomes "dud")
    even with original FW's.

If you are lucky, you may dump it in BSNL and get a replacement !

    Also mention whether
you use "DIALER" uSERiD/pw entered externally
'ALWAYS ON " MODE userId/pw stored in modem.

    @mvssarma

After heavy deliberation only a FW update with
original modem's or substitute FW is suggested by me.

Not a "Big affair " adds some more menu items like
DDNS virtual server port triggering SNMP tr_o69 client
    etc.

Most users need PF for torrent downloads, and since the new Ut300r2U given by BSNL has Identical Hardware board and CFE etc , i suggest a FW update. to get those menu pages.

If , for any reason the modem becomes a"dud" or useless
I will be the first person to feel "Guilty" about it .

    Even DLINK/Linksy's/buffalo modems/routers are
routinely upgraded with FW like DDRT tomato ( potato ??!!) etc . Reported to boost the performance.
    I have not tried any.

your UT300r2U seems a different Software version.
    Post device info..
Connect in "Always On" mode ( Not "bridged")
    192.168.1.1/main.html
see under NAT virtual server Port triggering DMZ etc may appear.
