    Default They did it again

    My new bill

Rs. 2701.00 sounds to be polite one

But call charges are only Rs. 214.

So Rs. 2487 for Internet charges for March and I use UL 750 just to avoid billing issues.

Why this much? modem charges, charged again + Rs. 750 advance for Plan change + Rent for March.

Rs. 750 advance for Plan change new info isn't it.

How I came to know? I made a call to BSNL accounts section. At first he asked my no. which I gave. He assured me to call after a few minutes (need time to check). A happy man waited for 2 and a half hours.

    No calls. No info.

My previous experience made me call him again. At first he refused to pick up the phone. Since I am going to suffer, I tried again and again and again.

He picked the phone and asked as rude as he can What do you want ?:31:

I explained the story again, he was kind enough to tell me that the bill is well in order and when we change to a higher plan one month charge is charged as advance, which will be returned when we surrender the connection. or move to a lower plan.

I refused to pay the amount and told him they should have informed earlier.
Also that I have already payed the modem charges in the first bill. He said i got no option as these are incorporated in software. But he will consider removing the modem charge and I should call him after 2 minutes. Still to call him. Let us see what he is going to say

I really doubt that they will resolve this matter on phone...I think you should personally go sit infront of the accounts officer & tell him to finish this matter now only... then only they will do it.

Dealing with BSNL staff has always been a headache for me as well ......................

when your bad time comes .................. you fall in the hands of BSNL staff ......... and then you find yourself helpless .............

firstly they don't like answering your call like as if they are deaf and physically impaired people ..................
then if someone from the staff does pick your phone by mistakeLUCKY YOU!!!!! they behave as if you are asking for there monthly paymentfrom them that too in their very sweet and softful manner tone they answer your call ............... and they may keep your receiver on HOLD for the while or may assure you for a callback within SECONDS ....... but as we all know that this wait never ends and time goes ON and ON helplessly frustrated you call back them and talk in a honey lick tone of yours in order to please them ............ then trying to explain your problem to them which most commonly bounces off their head Poor BSNL staff they hear you as if your are an alien and speaking some planetonic language .......
then at times they may answer but in such casual manner as if nothing wrong actually happened on the contrary you may have suffered heart-attack because off their wrongful doing that too without confirmation of the Billing/Plan change Records etc. actually taken place/done ..............
for getting your problem solved you may end up creating a regular chasing program for them ...............
and yeah the problem in most of the cases gets resolved only when you personally visit them and waste around your whole day in proving your point and trying to reach to the right person ................

then again you are left for a peaceful night sleep ................ then you only wake up while your bill arises and you find the unexpected in it and re-start again with the same procedure because some intelligent people in the BSNL staff had confirmed you earlier that so and so has already been done but it turns out to be the other way around ................ then they just deny any responsibilities infact may manipulate records to prove their point etc as well ................

So, GOOD LUCK everyone ............ including me :001_tt2: and HAPPY DEALING .........

They could have told all these things before. Charging for modem again is nothing but day dreaming. I had to make no less than 15 calls for plan change. And had to give the application in person. They could have mentioned it or have kept a specific form which warns these hidden charges.

At least a section called plan change under Services> Broadband in bsnl.co.in.

bro ............... they don't like telling anything ............... they just like to send you a hyped bill

while i was new to BSNL i had continously done heavy downloading without rebooting my modem at 2:00a.m. ............... then i was the only sufferer ...........
while i had complained about it with them ........... they told it's commonsense ......... everybody knows it .............. but then i had thought at that time that i was the only one without any sense .................
so i also had asked one of the officials that they could atleast post a note on the form as in order to alert new users ............ the reply came straight away ............ no need - it's self understandable ..........

Modem charges will be reversed. But they are entitled to take one month's advance + one month's deposit.

During your first connection, they must have taken a deposit of Rs. 500/-. They would have to top it up by Rs. 250/-. So in case they have charged a full deposit again, you will have to insist on revsersing the balance amount.

You will have to make a personal visit to the local accounts officer. They will issue you a new bill.

    a) Make an complaint application in duplicate
    b) Attach copy of the bill which shows that you have already paid for modem
    c) Insist on a duplicate (new) bill and pay for the balance amount.

Got a new bill. I need not have to pay for Modem again. But will have to pay Rs. 750 in advance as I had given no advance during my earlier plan. Thank you all for the support.
