    1) i got my broad band on march 21st . i m in home 500 c + plan and i got my bill today , bsnl has charged 176 rs as broadband rent for 10 days how they calculated rent for 10 days ? 2)while applying for the connection i asked for the 20% discount on govt. employee for that i gave the required documents , but in the bill i cant see any discount on the bb charges
    3) they charged one month rental as security deposit ie. 600 rs , is it the normal procedure ???

1.They call it broken period. Since you got connection on 21st, you need to pay only for 10 days.

    2. Please call to the accounts officer and talk to him. He will accommodate if your eligible for concession. But i think the concession does not stand for combo plans.

    3. That is a normal procedure.

    1) They have charged you pro-rated for the period. This is a normal procedure. Your full month fee is Rs. 600/-. So they must have charged for 9 days (as per my calculations).

    2) Submit a complaint in duplicate that 20% discount was not applied. Take a received signature/stamp on the duplicate for your records.

    3) Deposit is normal. Visit BSNL web site. All terms and conditions are clearly mentioned.

I think BSNO will not provide 20 % discount for the broken month

    March 21 to March 31 = 11 days

    11 days @ Rs.20 (600/30) = 220
    Less: 20% = 44
    Net Rental 220-44 = 176

So they have charged prorata and also applied 20% discount.

Security deposit is as per plan.

    Bill is perfectly in order.

What a brilliant explanation. Here are 10 points to you (and if you like beer take the 'o' out of the word 'points').
