Default Problem with the net connection

My connection seems to be too slow. I tried to register with a few sites. All of them failed. So i went for a speed test at speedtest.net.

The results:

Ping - 419 ms
Download speed - 0.36 Mbps

Then it waited infinitely and at last came up with this error.

Upload test error

Upload test returned an error while trying to read the upload file.

It is just today. Why is it like this?

I use UL 750 and Modem : Nokia Siemens C 2110.

Did you speak to your ISP for same problem.

Please try to restart your connection after rebooting your connection device.

If there is no packet movement then it will not let you to connect or to open any webpage which is not the case here.

Now it shows

Fatal error

Error message here.

But no message. It is still trying to connect speedtest.net

I use sygate firewall. I clicked exit and tried to upload a jpeg image. Done is seconds. What to do?

I installed firewall only yesterday night.

Can I solve this keeping my firewall ON.

It seems to be realted to firewall. I have to find a way keeping it ON and solve this problem.

I already have allow for Firefox & Google Chrome. And I tried all this in these browsers. So is the case with Flock.

Is this related to above problem you have reported elsewhere ?
Do you have a wifi setup ?
Allow file in firewall.
Para two:
Quote:
IF you don't have wireless stuff:
Click Start>
Run>
type Services.msc

scroll down to the bottom
look for "Wireless Zero Configuration"
double click it. Look half way down the window for
"startup type".
Use the popup menu
to select "Manual" or "Disabled"

You can also click the "Stop" button if you
don't want to have to Restart to effect this change

I successfully disabled the wireless driver. But still unable to upload images or register forms.

Connection problem persists and is related to upload.

can you upload a small *.jpg picture as annexure or
insert the picture here in this forum.
presume unable to upload in tinypic imageshack etc.

Anvir gives you all details of processes applications etc. for analysis.

In your modem check any page like this
access control
http://i6.tinypic.com/6ur7rd3.jpg.

Disable/uninstall the present firewall (sygate) version. download fresh.

Recommended site for download.
filehippo.com. ( about 10 to 12 free F/W programs available )

Download any other lean Firewall and try.
Zone Alarm is also good,
but I am using
1. Sunbelt Personal Firewall. ( reduced options )
(Trial full version for 30 days available at their web site.)

2.Also Antivir PE premium . ( 6 months free offer
posted in this forum or elsewhere valid till July 2009 )

3. Windows Firewall disabled.

Para two ;
Presume speed is back to normal.

Yes

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I used comodo earlier, it resets my network settings to 169....... instead of 192.168........ I cannot access net even if i disable or uninstall the firewall. I had to reinstall windows twice. Then i used zone alarm free. It does not allow to manipulate any of the settings. Then went for NIS, some program was downloading heavily and i have no clue which it is. In my Bitmeter it shows downloading but cannot find out which one. I had no option but to switch off the modem. So I changed to sygate. Now it is like this. Till I find a solution i have to disable the firewall for these activities. I thought of not using any firewall. But I use utorrent. So won't it be risky?

Just now I disabled the Windows firewall and tried to upload. But it failed. Is peer guardian a good firewall. Please give your suggestions.

Ashampoo firewall. Is it a good one?

Just installed Ashampoo. It lacks ask option. ie, we can either block or allow. Like others it doesn't have ask. Or am I missing something.
