Default BSNL router problem - some sites won't open

    Hi,

I have a WA3002-g4 wireless router from bsnl. I having this strange problem of some sites opening and some sites like youtube.com, warez-bb.org and many more not opening.

I have a spare UT-304R2 and all the sites are running smoothly on it including the one i mentioned. When i talked to customer care they said that there is a problem in server, we'll fix it in two days. Its been 2 weeks and nothing has changed. I even restarted with factory default setting for the WA3002 router but in vain.

I remember having the same problem last year. To fix it i switched with another WA30032-g4 in the office and that solved everything. But now i dont have another router to switch with.

I can use UT-304 to access those sites but its not wireless.

I was wondering if someone has any idea how solve it without switching modem.

In WAN or LAN page check the MTU value it can be set to 1492.
Also in the modem you can enter opendns
    208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222

    feedback please.

Also confirm you are using "Dialer" mode
    or "Always On"mode.

IT WORKED!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!

I changed the primary dns and secondary dns to opendns as you said and
in the PPPoE/PPPoA setting there was a TCP MTU option, changed it to 1492 from 1500 as you said.

when i saw the sites working, there was a tear in my eye:001_tt2:
    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

    @sunilvedula

Try changing your DNS servers to :

    8.8.8.8.
    8.8.4.4

Restart your computer and modem/router and then also do this :

In the command box type the below and hit enter :

    ipconfig /dnsflush

It should now say DNS flushed and now open your browser and see if things work smoothly.

I forgot to mention something important. I connected my BSNL modem to Dlink Dir 600L router to create a WIFIi. I am trying to change the settings there. Is that ok.

I have also done the requested procedure. I opened my dlink router and clicked manual setup and inputted the dns. I have restarted and in the command prompt I have typed ipconfig/flushdns. It has cleared cache. Still it didn't work. Please assist

Have you tried Chrome? It is nothing but a DNS problem in my opinion.

    Default fails to load

I have tried every browser. That includes chrome, IE 10, Firefox, safari. Let me state what setup I have clearly. I have a BSNL modem adsl, smartAX MT882 from sterlite. I have connected through the ethernet port if the modem to my Dlink Dir 600L router ethernet port. From the first lan 1 port of the dlink I have connected my computer. I went to the router page and configured bsnl setting. Now it works fine for all. I am able to even download torrent. A torrent file of 921 mb got downloaded in 24 min. Skype works fine. G talk, Gmail, Google search, yahoo, Hdfc bank site, flipkart fail to load.

Your modem/router is not handling SSL like it should. There is either some security parametre that you have changed recently on your modem or on your computer.

Try the solutions provided on this page for firefox and see if this gets things going : Enable SSL to fix the Firefox cannot connect securely error message | Firefox Help

    Hi,

I'm using a laptop, desktop and phone. Do you want me to test it on the desktop where it is connected through wire. All others are connected through wifi. Also just to let you know from June 1st we had a change in plan of bsnl. Also, i was using a tenda hot spot initially but it got burnt due to short circuit. Then I put the dlink, from then this problem started.

    Hi,

I have figured it out. Changing the MTU value (from 1492 to 1454) has made it working back again. This site has helped
