    Question how to connect pc and laptop internet sharing?

    Hi Friends I m Ashwini from Rajasthan. i have type II modem of bsnl broadband. that have 4 lan connecter in it. i connected my modem to pc via lan cable. it run ok. but i want to share this connection on my laptop also that have wifi enabled. is this any possibility to sharing my pc and laptop? i don't want to use any cable for it. i want to join from wifi. plz frnds help to share my internet connection.

    Needs wireless settings for ZXDSL531B.
    info :
    i connected my modem to pc via lan cable. it run ok.
    1. Transfer the Rj45 from desktop to Laptop
    Check your laptop settings are Ok and you can surf the internet.
    2. Now
    Start/All programs/Accessories/Communications
    Wireless Network Wizard.
    follow instructions.

    3. Then in Modem enable wireless settings.
    Please refer this website for Wireless settings.
    should be similar. confirm.

    Thanks for reply bur my problem is not concern about this. i want to run internet both in desktop and laptop at same time. desktop with lan and at the same time wirelessly with laptop. is this possible to share this internet?

    But you should confirm point 3 in my post.

    .
    4.Mention whether you are using "DIALUP " mode.
    .
    5 Change it to "always On" ppp/PPPoE" Enable DHCP in modem

    6.Still unable to operate both at the same time
    POST
    Start RUn type cmd type ipconfig /all
    for both desktop and laptop wi-fi mode.

    Thanks for quick reply.
    Yes i m using dial up mode. i alway fill my password for run internet. how enable dhcp mode? is there safe for always on internet? and my pc has win Xp and lap has vista. how to enlable shareing beetween them? we can use remote desktop easily but not can sharing.
