I got the connection in mid month...using home 500 c then how they bill that month...?
suppose i got 15th...then before that months bill how many gbs can i use...?
Plz explain...

You can use pro-rata basis. If your connection got activated on 15th of month then under 500c you will get 1.5GB/2 = 768MB of free usage(Excluding night unlimited) and 175/2 = 87.5(nearly 87 or 88) calls free for that month. and from 1st of the month to 14th of the month you will be in normal bfone plane and you bill will be calculated accordingly.

Home 500 C has 1.5 GB download limit. So if you got connection on 15 th, you will get half the limit. ie, 750 MB. Please do not use more as you will be charged for that.

Your plan has got a night unlimited offer. So you can download as much as you want between 2.00 am and 8.00 am. Be careful, you need to reset your modem a bit after 2.00 am and reset again a bit before (take it as 10 minutes) 8.00 am. Otherwise it will be counted in your monthly quota.

You need not stay awake to do this. You can automate the process using a software. Here is link http://imran-utilities.synthasite.com/

wat is the charge for additional usage...?
I got the connection 22th and now i used 540mb..thought that 1.5gb can be used this month.now i am feared abt the bill...

80 paise per MB. Don't blame yourselves. It is BSNL who is to be blamed.

You can find more details here.

Most of us use a broadband meter as BSNL site is down most of the times. You can download it here. Please note the value in broadband meter may vary a bit. So counter check with BSNL sites at regular intervals and leave a gap of 50 MB.

As from our experience, it will be wise not to completely relay on BSNL sites. It lie sometimes.

Also check your bsnl email id. When you exceed your quota, a mail will be sent to that id. So you can be cautious.

As far as I know we need to depend on BSNL customer care for this. Mention your location, may be your circle have some facilties.

Remember the sites I referred in previous posts for usage, you can check your plan change details there. Check under My orders. Plan change is a bit tricky with BSNL. By now you should have known about hidden conditions and charges. Use can find more details on these links.

Always welcome.

Thought you were trying to change to 500C+. BSNL is known for making mistakes. Call the customer care or local exchange, ask for the no. of Senior Divisional Engineer (SDE) or the no. of the office where you gave the application. Talk to the SDE and administrative section and demand a change to the plan applied.

In the mean time, you can also give a written complaint (with receipt) to Chief Accounts Officer. You can find the address and phone no. behind your telephone bill. Also talk to him personally using this phone no. He can fix it faster than anyone else. But SDE will be the right person to deal with.

Now if you change from 500C to 500 C+, it will be like a formal plan change. So just go through the precautions.

Actually i needed and got is 500 C
Due to the improper customer service(they told me only 500 and comboplus is available) i applied for 500C+ mistaken that it was combo plan of 500/month
Then i shocked by seeing 3 plans in bsnl site 500 500c and 500C+ thought that i have applied for wrong plan
At last when i got my connection it was 500C(not confirmed yet but bsnl site shows my order as 500c) i dont know what they show for a 500C+

i am a newbie in bsnl so having lot of doubts...
in the attched fig, the underlined portion raises some doubts...
It shows a session starting 00.10 and stops at 2.06.Actually after 2 its unlimited..?
I know billing servers time is little different so i changed my system time 10 mins slower and starts downloads with utorrent 2 to 7 then that side is clear.
Then another doubt is about the amount of data transferred during that time
thats 17 mb...actually i went to sleep keeping system running for starting download at 2.10 then how 17 mb was consumed?(i dont remember exactly )
anyway...how to manage the applications using internet..?any softwares..?

suggestions plz...

You should have read this .

If you do not switch off at 2.00 am and continue using after 2.00 am, you won't get the Night Unlimited. It is some programming error in BSNL system. Many has received huge bills because of that. Please read that link, it is a software for night unlimited users.

utorrent and Internet download manager support schedule facility. utorrent is for torrents and IDM is for normal downloads.

You can also you Download Accelerator Plus (Haven't used for a long time, please download and check)

You can use Imran's + utorrent + IDM or DAP and have a nice sleep.

I downloaded and while installing a trojan is found and the installation is aborted.(avast home 4.8).
Is that a false positive? if yes i can report it at avast.
Also i am using Utorrent and IDM.

sorry i wasnt talking abt download managers..
it was abt preventing unauthorised applications from using internet..
(i dont have firewall or internet security) only avast home.

avast consider imran bb utility as virus(or actually does it infected?) then how can i install it..?
If u r 100% sure that its not infected then i will turn off avast and try installing it.
Also selected a new antivirus+firewall its commodo. i had used its firewall before but it was annoying that every time we click the mouse something will pop up.So i swithed to avast home.Now going for CIS.

I use Avira + Zonealram firewall + Adaware + Yahoo antispy + spybot + spyware doctor. Of which spyware doctor is turned off and Yahoo spy does not run on real time basis.

I keep trying new software to check its efficiency. Comodo is the best firewall. But Zone alarm is equally good. If you want to change, you can find it under this link
Imran's I don't think it is has something malicious. Give me time till tomorrow. I verify the link with my friends and let you know.
