use open DNS Server

While posting a query always mention the plan, modem - model and make.
You cannot increase the speed any more than that of your connection speed limit. Speed depend on no of users, bandwidth consumption, peak time and may other factors. If you are getting much lower than what you should get, then follow these steps.

1. Use download managers like IDM, FDM or DAP. Port forwarding and good torrents for torrent downloading.

2. Start > Run > cmd >ipconfig/all, post the screen shot.

3. After that please change the values according to this thread.

Use any download manager as dilip said otherwise you can't do anything special to increase speed.
