Thread: Doubt About Home 500

Hi Friends,
I Have been applied for Home 500 plan from next month i.e 1st May. My doubt is will I get free download @ night on May 1st. Means Till 30th April 11:59 PM It will be april & @ 12:00 AM it will be May so will i get free download On 1st May 2:00 AM onwards or I will get it from 2nd May 2:00 AM??

Double, Triple check that your plan is changed....

Currently which plan are you using...?

If you get the present speed of your Tariff plan even at 0001 hours on May 1st take care. ( if it is Home 250 won't help !)
Even changing the meter readings may be done only at about 1000AM on May 1st ( May Day ) by BSNL staff.
No need to hurry.

Practical test : download a short file or surf at about 0745AM/ 1st May . disconnect modem at 0805AM.
and check whether usage shown as 0.
( for Old Dataone 59.xx.xx.xx , it will appear immediately )

Practically impossible. But can happen if your stars are shining. I have prepared an article on plan change and you will find a few comments. To avoid copy paste, please go through.

You must make sure that the plan change is confirmed.

- Login to the BSNL portal
- Under "My Order" check the plan status
- If the plan name says "Provisioned" then your (new) plan is activated, not otherwise.
- Even when the plan status says provisioned, wait for 3 or 4 days, before you start downloading heavily.

means my plan change has taken place.

so i downloaded about 500MB.

Will it be ok?
