Tried enabling DMZ for your IP?
I don't know about your modem.
At my previous office, we had to use a UT300R2u modem for some time instead of our DLINK one....
DLINK had all sorts of options for port forwarding and such, but not this one....
So, we just enabled the DMZ on UT300R2U to access our VPN....

    Enter. 192.168.1.1/secur_menu.html
In services menu UPnP option may be seen.

    Presume you are on "Dialer"mode
(enter userid and PW in computer window .
If so, uncheck "bridged" in wan page.
Change to PPP/PPPoE mode and enter bsnl UserId/PW in wan page.
    Save reboot.

    2
Menu item may be under "SECURITY" in your unit.
    Try 192.168.1.1/secur_menu.htm and try.
see my previous post again for the screen shot.
( in Siemens model it is listed under services)

    3. If still UpNP not accessed Firmware version. might have been changed.
    specifications show UpNp available.

    Folks,

Tried many options . nothing works . And TerracomSupport is Hopeless. They never respond to email or Phone calls . Spent 300 r/s on STD bill calling their support teams at Noida . waste of time

When switched over to Bridge Mode the VPN works and why not this work in PPPOE mode where i need toconnect 2 PC and WIFI

    With vpn connected
with Modem set for "bridged" mode(all ports open)
    copy/pasteipconfig /all data

    Chexck this post also:
http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...tml#post110934 (Cpe configuration procedure for accessing bb vpn & internet simultaneously)

When changed to PPP/PPPoE mode , try Portforwarding for VPN. ( or virtual server )
Check for Nokia Siemens c2110 in portforward.com

Check network settings in computer as below.
    http://compnetworking.about.com/od/w...vpnconnect.htm

May not be available in your model given for reference.

    Friends,

After googling i have found that only when the Modem settings are configured in BRIDGE mode, that i can connect to my office VPN and access all network resources.

Otherwise when configured in PPPOE mode it doesnt work.

Unfortunately this teracom modem doesnt have the option like in other modems - UPNP,,etc .....

    Any suggestions for me !

    Thanks

Even if you are connected to Internet, in Dialer or Always On Mode
    to access your VPN network
You have to dial in again . with userid PW for your private/office VPN ( special program Contivity for encrypting data ?)

Try to make a new Link 0_32 in "Bridged" mode VPI/VCI 0 and 32.
    .( In wan page )
and try your VPN mode. with external Dialer.
( or even PPP/PPPoE mode and enter VPN ID/PW etc )

    Feedback.

Note - I had setup a profile in Bridge mode and was able to access Internet and Intranet using my VPN kind of s/w.

But the question here is in Bridge mode, i cant connect Wirlesslaptp and my second desktop.!!

Try PPP/PPPoE"Always On" for line 0_32 for VPN>
    usualPPP/PPPoE line 0_35 vpi/vci 0 and 35 for Internet.

Angry unable to access VPN using BSNL Teracom Type2 Modem - UNRESOLVED

    Team,

Thanks for all your responses till date . Irrespective of trying so many options since 1 month, nothing fixed the problem which actually exist from the modem end which was trying to BLOCK some of the Ports of VPN unknowngly !!!

I have expressed my concern to the BSNL SDO who has has kindly searched the whole of Hyderabad to get me an alternate company modem and offered a BRAND new modem(Nokia Siemens 1600 router) with which iam able to connect to VPN in Bridge and PPPOE modem with a speed of 4 MBPS, 2desktops and WIFI enabled for laptop.

Finally iam allset to connect at great speed to my office network happily as iam required to stayonline connected for atleast 8HRS

I would rate the TERRACOM modem as the most Horrible Modems on Earth and conveyed my feedback to the hopeless Teracom technical team and their management to which they have NO answer till date inspite of sending 15 emails in 1 month and talking to them on phone for hours !!

Thanks to all the viewers in this Forum for trying to help me

    Regards
    Srini

PLEASE DONT BUY TERRACOM MODEMS FROM BSNL . IT SUCKS !!!
