Thread: How do i know that the 20% off is active in my plan..?

Only after you get your bill you can confirm it. But try talking to the accounts section. They can give some idea.

It was abt government employee plan.

It is better you talk before they prepare the bill. Bill is prepared between 1- 5 and send on or after 7th. They normally make mistakes in this kind of concessions. So confirm before they send them. Otherwise they will try to prove they are right and there is nothing wrong in the bill.

Yes ! you can contact BSNL for the confirmation. The Land line bill is released generally on 7th of next month

in the bill they wont mention any thing about the discount .even i had this doubt .so i went and ask the bsnl accounts ppl , they told it has been given .so you better contact them directly

i had applied for the same but there is no difference in the bill, i looked through the entire bill and had to pay the full amount! i am thinking its not yet activated or something

If proper documents have been given to A.O in April 2009,
20% discount as applicable will be given. from April bill.

The serving and retired government employees applying for Broadband
connection under this scheme, should furnish an undertaking countersigned by their Drawing and Disbursing Officer regarding their bonafide along with the application.

In case of retired employees, an attested copy of the Pension Pay Order should be submitted

along with the application. The application should be marked as “FOR GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES SCHEME”.



The scheme is also applicable to existing Broadband customers who are
serving/retired government employees subject to their furnishing an undertaking as
detailed above. The discount of 20% in Broadband Service charges for the existing
customers will also be applicable if they apply, from the month of such application................

Talk to the accounts section. If it is so, they will resent the bill after correction or refund in the next bill. Call to 1957 or customer care and ask for the specific no.

You will get 20% discount on only basic charges under your plan. eg if you are using 500c plan. Then the bill will be

Rs400
Plus any extra call above 175 free calls
plus extra usage of internet
plus service taxes
