BSNL provides web registration for usage alert. Any one registered??? Plz share your experience

If I am right, it had just been launched.
Most wouldn't have had time to check it out. I had read in The Hindu that BSNL Chennai would be launching some facility for this. Anyway, I will be checking this out now.

Just registered my email id and mobile phone no. We can download a webclient which we can use instead of log in to BSNL site. It requires more than 24 hours to activate the account. Tried the client, it seems we need to wait till our registration is approved.

anyone have any idea if this service is chargeable

I use UL 750. Still thought of checking how it works.

Is it for all regions or region specific?

Try to register from your connection. If it is in your circle, you can get this service. Otherwise no harm done.

Doesn't seems to work for me, in spite of giving the correct STD code it is not accepting !

did you enter for STD 0 ? only 42 or 487 etc
see annexure. Tested ok.



I am in Chennai circle. ( may be available for Tamilnadu circle also )

Any idea about cost for this service. I remember reading an article. TRAI does not allow Service Providers to charge the customer for billing and related queries and complaints. I hope it is applicable here. A bit worried. Every time when I went through a BSNL procedure, I got a huge bill.
