Last what I noticed was, that your SNR D/L is quite low.

Can you try the TCP/IP optimizer application
from speedguide.net. select default values
if some things are not clear ( or recommended values)
.
from the Speed scale select the nearest higher speed.

whats the normal values of SNR?
i tried to explain that my SNR is low and my PPPoE connection(not the modem one) gets connected.They say whats PPPoE and SNR they havnt even heard of it!

i gave the infos u wanted viz distance from exchange,plans,etc etc etc!

Did you try TCP/IP optimizer?
Higher the SNR d/l the better . >10 db
Lower the D/L attnuation < 30 db.
Mod selected ; usually GDMT.

Your attenuation is high still. 40 db.
Please check the DSL page and "Mod" mode.
1.uncheck Annex M mode , if
selected. Also ADSL2 +.
2. keep Bit swap enabled.
3. please confirm modem model. Mt 882 ?
4. YOUR line conditions are suspect.
check cables/ports for oxidization/blackening/high resistance contacts etc.
a new set of rj11 short cables may improve conditions.

perfect diagnosis ... my line condition is very bad so cant do much from nearest pole my house is 700 mts and continues one wire is drawn which has leakage in between...

essbebe u miss understood me.
"nothing like: "url" was few months before."
I meant to say that there is marginal improvement but..nothing like {URL}

the correct speed I got after the changes u told me was 256Kbps.
and after saving those setting my ROUTER got hanged.
even factory reset was not working.
could not even access 192.168.1.1 to change them.

I took it to DLINK care center...they reset it internally(dunno how)
& now the SPEED IS WORST.

me switching to airtel in few days.

pings depend on the location mate.....i get ping of 120 when i play cod4 in taiwan server and malaysian server.i get pings of 170 in european server and about 290 in american servers,also distance from telephone exchanges,etc,type of wiring etc are included,thing is recently my BSNl connection have started going nuts,and i am sure its the problem of the telephone line coz i can hear other ppls conversations in my line...
yes i already did that TCP/Ip optimizer in its optimal settings..
and yashom...airtel is no better! lol
