I think you will get 175 free calls.

Please click here for more details.

BSNL plan change is a bit tricky with a few hidden charges. Please go through these links.

The service tax is 10% and education cess is 3%. So the total tax is 10.3%. The billing is always monthly. Let us suppose that:

    a) You have purchased the modem outright
    b) You used the telephone to make 100 metered calls (local + NSD/STD + ISD)
    c) You used BB and your usage is 1732 MB.

The exact bill will be like this:

    Usage limits
    1. Voice calls = 175
    2. Broadband usage = 1.5 GB or 1536 MB
    Actual usage
    1. Voice calls = Assume 100 metered calls
    2. Broadband usage = Assume 1732 MB, i.e., exceeded limit
    Billing
    1. Landline rent = Rs. 0 (waived off under plan Home 500c)
    2. Modem rent = Rs. 0 (purchased outright)
    3. Telephone usage charges = (100 - 175) ~ 0 x Rs. 1 = Rs. 0
    4. BB Plan charges = Rs. 500
    5. BB Usage charges = (1732 - 1536) = 196 MB x Rs. 0.9/MB = Rs. 176.40
      -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    6. Total charges = Rs. 676.40
    7. Service Tax @ 10% = Rs. 67.64
    8. Education cess (3% on Service Tax) = Rs. 2.03
      -----------------------------------------------------------------------
      Grand Total = Rs. 746.07
      -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Others:
    • On the first bill after the plan change, there may be a levy towards security deposit.
    • This is a flat fee and amount to the diffence between the previous deposit paid and new deposit.
    • If the modem is not purchased but rented, add Rs. 60 or Rs. 90 in the bill.
