Default 500c/c+ users please help me .

    hi,
i am switched to 500c+ from this month(1.05.09) from 750ul , to get 2 mbps speed at night, but i am very dissapointed because i get only 10kb to 20 kb after 2 am, which is slow than my previous ul750 plan. it happening in all downloads, torrent, rapidshare, youtube, etc.
i was hope that i will get 100kb+ download speed at night, but i am schoked it's only 15kb,
in day time the speed is always 2mbps, download around in 200kb+,
so, i want to know from 500c/c+ users that what speed you got in night(2am-8am)?, what is happen with my connection, is it temporary or permanent? please post me, my speed test at 3 am in night posted below.
    thank you..

What DNS are you using? Trying switching between BSNL DNS to open DNS and vice versa. In my case, switching to BSNL DNS made the difference, though I must say that my speeds were not so bad as yours (I used to get 600 kbps or so).

And I am assuming that you have confirmed that your plan is indeed changed. Please verify under the BSNL portal (My Orders) that your new plan status says Provisioned.

I am under 500C+ plan & I am getting 200+ KBps during night unlimited (Torrent). I think there may be any temporary problem in your area & thus you are getting this speed. wait for some 2 to 3 days and watch any difference. My speed test results showing that I am on 1.3Mbps or less bandwidth line but I am getting arround 230 KBps and above on direct download

My plan is Home 500 i have faced this problem in entire October 2008 and i did complaint at least 4-5 times in local ,zonal and regional office finally they (BSNL) solved my problem.
complaint your local or zonal office about the speed.I think that's the only way

Are you having a BSNL Broadband Connection ?

If yes what is the Plan ?

Your upload speed in that pic. seems to be much higher.

Of course it is a BSNL connection. Plan Home 500 C+. I limit upload to 35 kB/s during download. When my torrents finish downloading, the upload speed is set to maximum (0). This time the upload speed reaches 70 kB/s

My uTorrent settings (amongst the more important) are as under:

    uTorrent Settings 2.PNG

Hey i was also having this problem earlier.
Then i founded a permanent fix for it..

There is a very simple solution for it...
Just change the phone wire which is connected to your pc from the
bsnl port connector(Usually found outside of your home..hitted with nails on the wall).

First i used to get speed upto max of 50kb but now era had changed.
In day i get 1mb and in night i get everytime 1.5 to 2mb speed..
in torrent now i get 1mb download speed..

    Must try..
    Reply me only on pm..

ALso i am having another doubt, Shariq, asked to change the Phone Wire Connected at the wall. Can anybody briefly tell me waht that means. Also, in my home they didnt put that BOX in the Wall(where the wire comes from the Earth is attached to the Wall) and they just connected the wire from the Earth and the wire from my home and pasted with tape. Thats all. Help me soon. Also Can you guys tell me the name of the torrent downloder which has fast download cabacity

    Try port forwarding

Please mention your modem - model and make.

Open DNS is simple. Just go to Network connection. Local area connection > properties > TCP/ IP Properties. Change as shown in the figure.
